Reasonable price for brake parts for my EG?

So I am in the process of upgrading my front brakes on my 93 Hatch DX. I am being offered the following parts from a friend of a friend for $650. I don't know what the going rate is for such brake...

No it'll sputter like once or twice when I give it gas then it'll go away. There will be days where the car runs fine, then there will be days where it bogs/sputters a few times while I'm driving to...

Check the timing belt and make sure that your timing is correct. How does the car idle? Any CEL's?

How would I know if the clutch is moving? When I turn on my engine, the whole front part of the compressor moves due to the AC belt moving it. Should I be doing this with the engine off?
