Re: heater only works when driving

Sounds like it's low on coolant. This could be due to a leak or a headgasket issue. It's more likely a leaking hose, rent a coolant system pressure test kit from Advance Auto or somewhere similar and...

Re: Troubleshooting: Cranking engine w/ No Start. 2000 Integra LS

Like I said before, you're going to have to check the timing belt pulley for a sheared off crank key. That's the only way I can think of that would allow the cams and crank to be out of sync with...

re: Troubleshooting: Cranking engine w/ No Start. 2000 Integra LS

Yeah but it wouldn't be off more and more each rotation, would it?

Re: Clutch petal have NO RESISTANCE. HELP!

For what it's worth, I once had a clutch line that just would NOT bleed fully using the 2 man pump method. Once I put a vacuum on it with a special bleeder, bubbles started coming out and it was...

re: Troubleshooting: Cranking engine w/ No Start. 2000 Integra LS

You should get a manual for the timing belt job, it'll be worth it.

re: Troubleshooting: Cranking engine w/ No Start. 2000 Integra LS

The crank pulley definitely has to be removed to remove the lower timing belt cover, as well as the other belts. You're going to need either an impact gun, a screwdriver wedged in the teeth of the...

re: Troubleshooting: Cranking engine w/ No Start. 2000 Integra LS

If you discover the key sheared off, I will be thoroughly convinced. I'll still find it very odd that it synced back up, but strange things happen and a broken clock is still right twice a day.

re: Troubleshooting: Cranking engine w/ No Start. 2000 Integra LS

If that's the case then you'll need to get a replacement key from Honda (they are pretty cheap) and re-do the mechanical timing. If you don't have records of it being done within the last 50k or so,...

re: Troubleshooting: Cranking engine w/ No Start. 2000 Integra LS

First, what you described is not COP, with COP there is a separate ignition coil for each plug, 4 in total for this engine. You have the OEM ignition, one ignition coil inside the distributor, and 4...

Re: To Do or Not to Do

You're going to get conflicting opinions here as well, OP. I have used the copper spray on every head gasket job I do, and have had zero issues. Would they have had issues if I hadn't used it? No way...

Re: Crank no start

Check for codes present.

You also need to check spark, fuel, timing, and compression.

Verify the engine is mechanically in time. There should be a small notch mark on the crank pulley, turn the...

re: Troubleshooting: Cranking engine w/ No Start. 2000 Integra LS

The cams will NEVER be out of sync unless they have slipped timing, in which case, they will ALWAYS be out of sync. Period, end of story. Belt tension has nothing to do with it except that if it's...

re: Troubleshooting: Cranking engine w/ No Start. 2000 Integra LS

To verify the engine is indeed at TDC when the crank pulley says it is, put a long socket extension or something similar in the #1 spark plug hole and turn the engine over by hand. Verify that the #1...

re: Troubleshooting: Cranking engine w/ No Start. 2000 Integra LS

The "whirr" noise you are getting could be the starter wearing out or the battery dying from all the attempted starts.

I am confused here though, because 2000 integras did NOT come with coil on...

re: Troubleshooting: Cranking engine w/ No Start. 2000 Integra LS

Also, try not to get frustrated. I know it's difficult at times like these, but an engine is just a bunch of parts, there is a REASON why it's not working. Just take it step by step.

I saw your...

re: Troubleshooting: Cranking engine w/ No Start. 2000 Integra LS

When troubleshooting, you have to go step by step and rule things out COMPLETELY.

The only way to completely rule out fuel issues is to take the fuel system out of the equation COMPLETELY, by...

re: Troubleshooting: Cranking engine w/ No Start. 2000 Integra LS

No check engine light?

By "lost all power" do you mean the car just shut off electrically, or that it started running rough and then died?

You also need compression, check compression in each...

Re: Opinions needed: K20R Euro Accord R. Should I rebuild, or should I go for a K20/K

I've been reading up on it a little bit and *I think* it's more for high comp motors to limit issues with P2V interference. Something about the valve pockets being different than on b-series, idk....

Re: lonlely_driver4's look at a fun B16A build

It's not JUST reliability, also you won't get anywhere near the performance without properly tuning it. I would go so far as to say that without a tune, it's basically not worth modifying an engine's...

Re: Honda Odyssey Motor Swap/Upgrade advice

I hope someone here is knowledgeable on this subject, but I suspect that most (such as myself) will not be. Have you tried looking at any forums specific to the Odyssey? Sorry that this reply isn't...
