I think i have a general idea of the issues you are describing, and in the past if i can remember correctly, i have used a small scissor jack on the lower control arm to wedge and force the arm down...

I was thinking some sort of vac leak...check you vacume lines and if you just took off a turbo setup did you change the injectors? you may have effed up one of the injector seals creating a huge vac...
