Re: Skunk2 Tuner 2 / Supertech Springs

Why don't you just buy the correct spring for type cam you have? In this case Skunk springs for a Skunk2 cam? Then you can save yourself all this crap of searching the internet? Skunk2 may know a...

Re: Valve Lash Question: Blox Type C--Fresh Motor

You have already admitted that you assembled it wrong, with the cam cops in the wrong spots. That should eliminate any hope for a warranty. Deleting your incompetence would be a start to hope...

Re: edelbrock 4730 ramp rates?

You probably need to do a chart that takes the rocker ratios into consideration as they change as you rotate the cams on them. 1.49-1.57 depending on where the lobe is in contact with the rocker.

Re: 2.0L LSV BLOWBY QUESTION

So it is the spinning crank that causes crankcase pressure. I did not know that. I was always told it was compression leakage from rings and non-round (.003 ) cylinder walls and the fact that the...

Re: How many times can you reuse main bolts?

If you under=torque a bolt, stud, fastner. you do not put it the correct "stretch" the manufacture calls for and it will eventually loosen. The "torque" number is actually a "stretch" number that...

Re: Chamber size and cylinder bore size question?

This is the correct answer. Not leaving a sharp edge to create a hot spot, plus more un-shrouding of the valve is the correct answer.

Re: B16a1 leakdown test

No, its something else leaking to get to the TB. Read the instructions. Dip stick tube leaking means rings, it's in the book.

Re: New skunk2 intake manifold to be released soon

Probably not as it does not look like they copied the Kinslers. The Skunk looks like it will actually fit in a Honda chassis with the stock brake master cylinder. The Kinsler's will fit fine in your...

Re: How many times can you reuse main bolts?

Really? If you do not load them "stretch" them to the factory number they will be OK? Wanna buy my torque wrench, as I obviously do not need it any more for rods, mains, or head bolts anymore,...

Re: B16 Stroker. Help needed

All the info in this thread is really nice, but does not help the op one bit. The 84.4 Eagle crank used B16 rods with custom pistons that had the pin moved. Subtract 77.2mm from 84.4mm, devide by two...

Re: My Toda B20, to upgrade valve train or not..

I know Kent lists "shelf" vtec cams and valve train, plus will make custom cams. There is another cam company that makes vtec cams over there, but memory fails me. Plus Neal Brown Engineering in...

Re: Possible P2V clearance problems.

So, your two/three E-bay torgue wrench"s did not work? No big deal have real mechanic with Snap-On tools TQ your stuff. Make sure he has TQ wrench's that go to 18 lbs.ft to 76 lbs. ft, to 180 lbs.ft....

Re: My B20vtec 13:5 CR Build

How bad do the the stock retainers hit the valve seals/ guides with the Pro Cams in VTEC? Or did you have the retainers shortened?

Re: Cam help

From your orig. post the BC 2's would be best, and I would lose the Performer X manifold, for a type R, or ported B16 manifold, and swap the Omni TB for a Skunk Alpha TB. 11.5-12.0 compression would...

Re: help with ls no compression

If you took the cams out, how would you get any air in the cylinder " IN cam" to read a compression guage? Or air out to be accurate? The only thing you did is make it easier to use a "leak down...

Re: N/A vs Turbo

Well for 300 bhp if a stock bottom would work foe a turbo, then it would work foe a NA, except pistons, to change compression. Same as a turbo build. More head work, and a better intake, but that is...

Re: N/A vs Turbo

Don't know much about engines do you? Turbo bottom ends and blocks, valves, etc. cost more than NA parts. Plus decent turbo parts, not E-bay kits, cost more.
Now if you are talking a 300bhp NA vs a...

Re: DFE Built H2x - 300whp / Low 11 sec Prelude Build

I did talk to Don. He said you may want to spend your time calling GE, as he has not received a block from either you or GE. His quote was " as the block holds most of the parts, I need that first'....
