Re: vtec question (patmcd)

the second stage really isn't vtec, it is the intake manifold.

there is a thing called "3 stage VTEC" but it isn't in any USDM cars.

Re: DIFFERENTIAL PRODUCTION (vapor)

also, a lot of people are not going to want to buy a whole new LSD that is pretty much the same as the stock Honda one. The Honda LSD isn't the source of problems most of the time; it is the metal...

Re: Price on 2000 gsr (killerb20zallmotor)

they do hold their value well.

I'd say $12K in good condition with clean title. I'd lose the power mods and the guages. nothing says "abused" like aftermarket guages.

Re: 03 Vs 04 S2k??? (JS2K)

well, for daily driving it is an improvement. In all out performance, it is about the same. It has slightly more peak HP, but the F20C has a longer powerband, evening things out. Basically, the...

Re: (Curtisbeef)

the floor isn't strong enough to support it. even the del sol, with all the reinforcements it got, creaks like mad.

The S2000 has the X-bone chassis, making it stiff with no roof. The integra...

Re: s2000 brakes (vapor)

yep, both single piston.

one shouldn't get hung up on the number of pistons as it is not a guarantee of quality. The S's brakes are about as good as the brembos on the G35/Z track and they are...

Re: Thinking about buying a s2000 just a few questions... (slomob18b)

1. I'm 6' 180# and it is roomy ENOUGH. It is not roomy, but I don't feel squished. It has lots of headroom actually.

2. Insurance was about $15/mo more than my GSR. I'm 28.

3. spark plugs...

Re: insurance on s2000s (Nishant)

reliable insurance (from a big brand you can depend on to pay) will be very expensive. Cut-rate carriers are lots cheaper but they'll drop you like a hot potato and never pay your claims.

You...

Re: Comptech H/I/E (AcuraINTEGRAGSR)

10-15, most from the intake.

still, comptech stuff is NICE and the I/H/E is essential if you want gains from cams/pistons/etc.

Re: I wanna swap my ls intake manifold to a stock gsr manifold (shermanyang)

the gsr manifold is very good for low and midrange torque. for a daily driver, it is pretty good actually.

Re: ls cable to hydrolic (the DA in HONDA)

Re: ls cable to hydrolic (the DA in HONDA)

i think there are hyrdro to cable conversions, but not vice versa. it's quite a bit of work and i have not heard of it being done.

you should get a del sol b16 cable tranny. they are cheap.

Re: What is the best header???????????? (luvinmyGSR)

yep comptech is excellent. if your goal is great torque then it is a good choice.

if you want max HP up top then a JDM 4-1

Re: LS Vtec VS GSR which car have more power?? (1quickLS)

tranny ratios come into play, as well, and the GSR has an advantage.

The low end torque from the LS block is minimal and will never be an advangage in a straght line race as a GSR can launch at...

Re: (aznsmtboy)

I think you could buy a stroker kit with forged internals or a blower/turbo for the price of the CRVtec (done right, not a hack job).

Re: ITR CAMS Practical Set up Question (RynoDyno312)

I think any ITR cam is fine. I hear the 00-01 cams are a little more aggressive. Both will move the torque peak to a little over 7000, resulting in a meatier powerband up top.

I wouldn't go with...

Re: STOCK WHP? (gsrboi80)

elevation KILLS horsepower in NA cars. Less air pressure means less gets into the motor.

If you moved there now and were force to run 100 yards, you'd breathe VERY heavily. Less air gets to your...

Re: Want to rev higher (MickeyA)

he's right. it's not safe. It will "work fine" but that doesn't make it right.

The GSR block has numerous enhancements to run at 8000rpm over the LS block. I know the difference between 6800...

Re: whats better for turbo ls/vtec or Gsr (VTECrazed)

The GSR block is stronger and has those oil jets, too. It also has the full girdle and is more balanced for less vibration (which is hard on motors, really).

Re: mod my S? (R S2 G)

ITBs if you mean individual throttle bodies, is probably not the best first mod.

I think ITBs would best come after head and manifold porting and higher lift cams.

A good, first mod, if you...
