oh i see..my motor is also on a stand right now hehe. getting the main bearing girdle off can be frustrating but other than that i cant really help since ive never messed with the B shaft bearings. ...

vtec needs 60 psi to work, but thats at 5000 rpm. 80 at idle confused me at first but yeah im starting to think its normal when cold...the car had been sitting and the old oil couldnt have helped...

just bought the car, it was sitting for like a year before i drove it 75 miles home. halfway through the trip the light started flickering at idle only, if i held it at 1500 rpm or higher it went...

clogged egr ports would turn on the 'insufficient egr flow' code. there is no way the egr could set all those codes unless the valve was stuck open all the time. i would guess crank position sensor...

ive seen EGR problems cause this on hondas, since the egr is inactive when the car is idling. same issue that youre having, code clears when the car shuts off. an o2 sensor problem almost always...

yes gasket remover works on hondabond and other silicone gasket makers...let it soak for 5 min, scrape and repeat

you can use a wire brush...just brush till the paint comes off and you see bare...

scrape off what you can with an old credit card or screwdriver...then spray it down with permatex gasket remover and use a gold (copper?) wire brush...fastest way i found
