Re: Changing the freon in my '96 Accord (galneon)

THE IMPORT SHOPS ARE LYING TO YOU!!!! Your '96 Accord takes R-134A, same as my '94 Accord does. Sounds like they want to charge you a whole lot of money and just put in a $5 can of refrigerant. Go...

Re: (jli18)

It would also benefit you to buy only the 87 octane gas. The 89 and higher might get you a little more acceleration speed, but it get's you less gas mileage.

Well I've gone empty and stalled and only been able to put 14 gallons in it, and the gas light never came on. I've had the car for 7 year. I'm telling you that the documentation is wrong. If you...

Re: 94 accord auto tranny slipping (eddiefedpops)

These are the trouble codes as they would appear on the check engine light flashing, I don't know about the D4 flashing as that is supposed to indicate a transmission problem, but I will put up what...

Re: Quick Question on 94-95 Accords (Trademark)

The '95 V-6 trouble codes can only be read with an OBDII diagnostic tool. The four cylinders have a service check connector for a jumper wire. So the V-6 for '95's should be considered OBDII.

Re: (rmd0311)

If it is a Honda, you can put the 5w30 in it. The owner manual, or somthing like a Chilton's repair manual, will tell you the fluid specs. But from everything I've ever seen, Honda manual...

Re: Getting The Best Fuel Economy Out Of Your Car: Tips & Tricks (RotaryBzzzz)

I bought my '94 Accord LX in '99 with 74,000 miles on it. I started using Valvoline Syntech in it immediately. I highly recommend trying synthetic motor oil as a way to bump you gas mileage up. It...

Re: Does the timing belt really need to be replaced? (kniob)

I understand not having the money...that's why I have 203,000 on mine and haven't changed it yet. But don't use my good blessing as a normal example, change it ASAP.

Re: How often should I change fuel in transmission? (under advisement)

Once a year if you are lazy, twice if you want to be on the safe side. I'm assuming that your tranny isn't much different than my '94 Accord. You don't have a filter to change, and the drain plug has...

Re: Fixing up a 96 Accord (craigsavestheday)
