Re: 2010 Accord oil consumption

Sound to me like he changes the filter and tops off the oil. The rest of the contamination you speak of should be either caught in the oil filter or burnt off on longer trips.

I wouldn't...

Re: Accord Road Noise

I agree. That's why I own a roll of Fat Mat and plan to buy some shoddy material soon. Not what you want to hear, but you'll either have to fix it yourself or buy something else. And be careful...

Re: 2010 Accord oil consumption

I bet your 15 year old Camry doesn't use 0W-20, right? Do you know about the late 2000's Camrys that eat oil excessively?

I don't think your 10k mile oil level is that bad, I'd just start topping...

Re: everybody loves k series (unless you go through what i do)

I didn't change mine at 3k (does anyone anymore?) but I rarely let it go until the minder told me to change it. I sold the car a few years ago @ 88k miles and it burned oil every oil change,...

Re: Building a quick spooling high compression bseries @ 300whp?

It is in common use as large or many. It comes from the French word with a similar meaning. If you know history, you can guess where the Vietnamese meaning came from.

Re: Leaky Moroso Oil Pan

Once you break 150mph in the quarter, it'll stop leaking.

That Subaru sounds like a power steering pump to me.

On my car, the A/C compressor started making a terrible racket that sounded like bearings running dry. Like your noise, mine goes away after...

Thanks for sharing guys, but please remember what was posted above - thin spoke wheels should be inspected for cracks before each track day. Now we know where to look.

Re: everybody loves k series (unless you go through what i do)

I had an '07 Accord that burned oil from the day I bought it (new). This is the first time I've heard that it's an actual "known" issue. Thanks for sharing!

Re: Muckman’s Integra High Compression Super Build

Re: TD Autowerkes & Friends bring you a HotRod Mustang with a twist!

Just saw this old thread for the first time and I love it. I love the color and lack of side trim.

Just an FYI about all of the 8.8" rear end talk - Ford has an IRS 8.8 but more commonly Mustangs...

Re: How do you fight the feeling of moving on...and regretting everytime ?
