Re: Neptune tuning issue

I always see like 950-980mbar (and go into the 8-9-10 columns) at WOT on n/a cars while tuning. This car was seeing a max of 750mbar and staying in the 6-7 columns at WOT

Re: can i accomplish this with neptune?

yes, you can set up a hi-low boost switch and mount it where ever you want.

the boost solenoids are just a MAC valve, which you can get from many places for well under $100.

then just add the...

Re: B16 Idle Vacuum Readings?

19 inches is OK, but I get about 22-24 inches with my stock b16 cams, but i've got slightly higher compression that stock (roughly 11.5:1 CR).

Re: neptune question

There are plenty of people who tune with Neptune, just look up the "authorized dealers" on the hrtuning website (that JR linked to in his post). Theres nothing wrong with buying a used RTP system, as...

Re: B16 Idle Vacuum Readings?

where does the MAP sensor get its vacuum from? the throttle body?
is it mounted on the top of the throttle body?
or does it have a vacuum line going to it from a vacuum source somewhere?

i've...

Re: Yeah it's another ECU question...

sorry bro, I meant take the stock ecu out of the 94 civic you're doing this swap into and modify that one.
Did the car not come with an ecu?
I'm just saying you can modify the ecu that came with...

Re: Yeah it's another ECU question...

just get your stock ECU chipped/modded and run a b16 program, no need for another ECU.

Re: Type R Vavles in a b16 head?

yes, but you'll pay out the ass for them to fix it by welding/reshaping the combustion chamber. My buddy had a head fixed that dropped a valve. It was like $500 CDN to fix the 1 combustion chamber...

Re: Type R Vavles in a b16 head?

with a head that fubar'd the valves are OK?

Yes, you can use the ITR valves in your head, like sander said both the ITR and b16 use the PR3 casting.

Re: crome/injector size/fuel multiplier

I find if you install Fuel Tools 2.0 BEFORE installing Boost Tools weird shit like that happens.

The last time I used crome, it was with version 1.5 and the i/b offset worked fine for me. Maybe...

Re: crome/injector size/fuel multiplier

its not really harder to tune with larger injectors, once you get the EMS set up properly for the injectors you are using.

I've used 1000cc injectors with crome without any real problems, and I'm...

Re: Stand alone vs wide band

a standalone EMS is used to control fuel/ignition/rev limits/etc etc etc whereas a wideband is an o2 sensor used to help tune the fuel/ignition/rev limits/etc etc etc of a engine management system...

Re: OBD2 Tuning Options -- Need Some input

what I would do is get it tuned by an authorized Neptune dealer, this will save you the $400 of buying the RTP system. If you go with hondata you'll still need to purchase some hardware first before...

Re: B16 Idle Vacuum Readings?

I've never really found any software to have basemaps that startup and run every car perfectly, this is why tuning is so important. You have different cams, intake manifold, throttle body and header,...

Re: which ecu would be better p06 or p28

well said.

I'll add something though. If you'd like to keep the IAB's functioning (I would) you'll need to use an ecu with the IAB components such as a p72 or a p75 thats been converted to p72. If...

Re: need help p28 ecu h22 question

you must have your IAT sensor's plug switched up with something else (the EVAP, IACV) b/c i've seen a few ecus now burn up that q31 transistor and the cause was switching the IAT sensor's plug. I'd...

Re: OBD2 Tuning Options -- Need Some input

i'd definately rock the Neptune RTP system. Its a badass system that comes with incredible tech support and many awesome features. All you need is a chipped obd1 ecu and an ecu conversion harness to...

Re: hondata and greddy profec

the profec b spec II is a decent boost controller but hondatas EBC feature has more control (like others have mentioned).

Re: newbie to ECU tuning on F20B

you'll need to have the p28 modded to accept the s300, which isn't just the same as chipping an ecu, almost, but slightly different.

I personally would go with the Neptune RTP system, but thats...

Re: B16 Idle Vacuum Readings?

11:1 AFR at idle!!!!

Thats way too rich dude.

Re: crome chipped p30 not reading the map?

i've seen a few ecus now burn up q31. The cause (everytime i've seen it firsthand) has been the EVAP and IAT sensors electrical connection being switched up. As far as I know the transistor in q31 is...

Re: base map

your tuner should have all of the necessary hardware to tune your car....all you need is a chipped ecu and a basemap to get you to your tuner.
