If its loping from 500 to 1000 consistently check for any vaccuum leaks if none replace the fast air idle valve.

Switching the tranny fluid in this case isn't going to do much. Save your pennies and have the tranny rebuilt with new syncros. I would rather do that then buy another used tranny for the same cost...

Sound like the ICM, quite simple to replace. Or go to the Junk yard like others said and replace the dist. in its entirety. If you replace the Dist, take the old one apart and mess around with it,...

Thanks everyone, it was the valves, but now I have the old problem back. On a 10 minute drive I'm guessing the rod bearings went again. The crank was scratched a little but I decided to try it...

I did not recheck the valves, I guess that would have been a good idea. They are such a pain, not hard, but a pain, plus I wasn't exactly sure where to set the intake side to adjust them. I took it...

I would concur with the last thought. If it is shaking and not pulsing, it sounds like bad bushings.

The o-ring is wrong.. If the oil is inside the distibutor it is the shaft seal. Honda doesn't sell them, so take it out and find the number on it and have someone at a specailty seal place cross...
