um.

Why is the freelander viscous coupler so desirable, what is so special about it? Are there other VCs that are proven to work?

The best way to learn how to depin:

Cut off ecu plugs from u-pick autowreckers or a parts car and go for it. Don't learn on pins you need to rely on.

I've replaced one before.. the clips are re-usable from what I remember. If you're comfortable with clips and grommets it's strait forward.

H22 is 14mm 12 point. The nuts have a METRIC thread (look closely at them). 9/16 will work but 14mm fits better.

Those are the clearances I will get based on my measurements and the colours I have chosen.

I verified 5 with plastigage and brand new bearings. It was bang on with what my bore gauge is...

I had no plans to line hone. Motor was taken apart in perfect running condition. To be honest, I don't trust the machinists around here to get the main line better than it is right now.

cheap and good compatibility with other parts. You wont cobble something else together for cheaper unless you have some welding/fab skills. :thumbup:
