After doing some reading I see the Auto tensioner turns out to be a piece.

What would be the easiest way to determine if my tensioner has indeed gone bad? Loose at low rpm? More than a 1/4 turn...

Everything is nice and tight, spent a good half hour prodding around the underside.. Mounts all in good shape.

My 97 has a shuddering issue when driven for long amounts of time at consistent speeds. It will shudder in all gears once it has begun under load.

If you push clutch in it revs fine so my guess is...

Not while under braking, only after constant throttle will it begin and partial throttle to continue.

Thats when I push the clutch in to make sure it wasnt motor. The Noise occcurs only under throttle w/ clutch engaged
