Re: im out of ideas on this o2 issue

It sounds like that may be the culprit, but to tell you the truth I have never really ever seen that side of the harness go bad. Unless it fried wires somehow.

Re: im out of ideas on this o2 issue

So basically same thing on both setups. With all different parts. What parts have not been swapped between the two motors? From the looks of your post the only thing I see is the wiring harness from...

Re: im out of ideas on this o2 issue

Yep P0420 is a bad cat and in some cases can cause you to get the other two codes.

Is the lean problem feel the same as you were experiencing a while back with the TPS?

Here is a quick guide to...

Re: Wideband Bosch LSU 4.2 versus 4.9

Ravex3m did not take it harsh at all. I was just pointing out that there are other reasons as well for the sensor fail. Not just the one you mentioned. The heating control of the sensor is very...

Re: Wideband Bosch LSU 4.2 versus 4.9

Just thought I would chime in here and add some things. If you have any questions let me know and I will post the answers.

O2 sensor placement is very critical to the life and performance of a...

Re: Need help finding part number

They dont sell that part seperately. You have to purchase an entire Fast Idle Control Valve.

Re: Accidents In Import Drag Racing 2015

From our ProFWD days before we ran we walked the entire length of the track. Looking for oil, bolts, whatever we could find on the track. Of course now days they may not let you do this, but back...

Re: AEM EMS Compatiblility

Although they use the same plug header the pinout like stated above is completely different between an OBD2A & B they will not just plug in hence the two different part numbers. There are a number of...

Re: map sensor calibration

Usually sensors like that are based off a calibration spec. There are a lot of different GM 3 Bar Map sensors with slightly different calibrations. I would look up the part number for the one you...

Re: overheating because not enough ignition timing?

I agree with mtber the numbers he is posting is not really something that would cause a car to overheat. Maybe at 8 degrees retarded at a prolonged time at wide open throttle however if its...

Re: New engine harness and now tune is off?

A new harness should not have this effect. I would check all connections to make sure they are good. Make sure everything is plugged in where it should be. Also a quick check on injectors you can...

Re: AEM EMS coil dwell factor

The only problem you would run into if your dwell was set too high and it is running into each other on the high RPM. You having a MSD installed pretty much doesnt matter what the dwell is as the MSD...

Re: AEM EMS coolant issue

can you post your calibration?

Do you have a wire going to pin A12?

Also keep in mind the stock gauge cluster isnt the greatest at actually telling you the temp of the motor. It heats up and...

Re: got to the track no 2 step...... wtf..crome pro

I would think the igniter is not the issue with your two step. I would think like Muckman said is a threshold on your sensor settings. It may be getting noise as you rev up and not actually stay...

Re: got to the track no 2 step...... wtf..crome pro

Sorry not familiar with Chrome. What is your activation for the two-step? Is it based off wheel speed or is it based off a switch? If it is your clutch switch make sure it is actually activating. Can...

Re: FIRST DYNO SESSION: How to know when to stop?

I personally never keep adding timing til it loses some power. As you start to increase timing in areas you will see big jumps in areas. The more timing you add however these increases can start to...

Re: FIRST DYNO SESSION: How to know when to stop?

As you said it is all on build factors. If it is on a stock motor with pump gas I would rarely go above 8-11psi. Also take into account what type of motor you have as a GSR will have more compression...

Re: Aem series 1 ems

Pin for the Wideband is D14. You can't wire a normal ethanol content sensor in as it will be frequency based and not voltage. You would have to get the Zeitronix gauge which will output a voltage and...

Re: 92 Accord Hard Start

A lot of fueling calculations are based off the coolant temperature sensor. Especially when starting the car cold. Replace the sensors and it will go away.

Re: AEM EMS 4

It would be a custom pattern. The easiest thing to do as they said is to remove 3 of the teeth and make it a single cam tooth trigger.

Re: AEM EMS 4

36-1 with a cam trigger also or do you not want to run it in sequential?

What timing pattern are you running now? Do you have stat sync?
