I think that would be highly unlikely with just 2k miles on the motor and head gasket and no other symptoms of a blown gasket.

Machine shop handled the block/piston/crank assembly so I'm trusting the bearings are seated correctly. He used new OEM bearings.

I'll check the pulleys. I know the crank pulley is torqued...

I got it. The "to engine harness" connectors go to the engine harness connectors. So the 4 that I was holding plug into one another.

Yes, a big help... But what does "Starter Solenoid (to engine harness)" and "Alternator (to engine harness)" mean. Neither the alternator or starter have plugs/connectors for these, so not sure where...

knock is already plugged in, and starter has the electrical cable and ground connected, but don't see where any other connectors go.
