Re: What Makes These Cars Such Easy Targets For Theives?

that's irresponsible of him to put other people's lives in danger for the pride he has in his car. bullets don't always take a straight path and could have ricocheted to an innocent bystander. he...

Re: replaced window regulator, but window won't roll to top

yeah. check the bolts that hold the regulator arms/support to the window. there should be a way to loosen them and then you push the window up however far you need to go and retighten.

Re: 93 civic dx/b16 head/b18c block/stock p72 ECU -- hitting rev limiter at 6k

yeah i'm probably going to get a brand new one from distributor king when i have extra cash. with the old one i'll just toss it in my trunk for emergencies. let me know if the new distributor fixes...

Re: hitting rev limiter at 6k

mine is like that too. b16 bottom w/ gsr head. i switched from a p72 to a p30 and my rev limiter still hits at 7000rpm. some days my tach will read low for what MPH i'm at, but it never reads too...

How do you remove/disable a JDM p30 knock board?

I think I may have messed up some resistors in my JDM p30 by mistaking r17 and r18, for rp17 and rp18. so now I figure i'll just disable the knock sensor. I want to remove the whole knock board as I...

Re: auto ecu to manual ecu, solder as jumper for rp18

yeah i removed r18 and r17 from the knock board (obd1 jdm p30). i put them back but i had to use resistors from another ecu cause the ones i took out broke. i'm not even sure they're the right ones...

Re: auto ecu to manual ecu, solder as jumper for rp18

ahh ok. i just redid it. put a copper wire through both holes and soldered it up, time to test it again, will update this thread in 15. i'm a noob with a soldering iron but i'm slowly learning. might...

Re: auto ecu to manual ecu, solder as jumper for rp18

the blob is connected to both resistor legs. i just removed the resistor by moving it back and forth til it broke off its legs.

auto ecu to manual ecu, solder as jumper for rp18

i did an auto ecu to manual ecu conversion. i removed rp17 and rp18, but instead of a jumper wire I just used a big blob of solder to jump rp18. is that enough to achieve 0 ohms or should I use an...

Running p72 ECU on b16 block/p72 head = bad gas mileage?

I have a b16a2 bottom end mated to a p72 head. I know that in open loop it uses p72 fuel maps for WOT, but in closed loop is there any difference between running a p72 or p30(the proper ECU for my...

Re: Is there a way to tell if I'm going into closed loop?

well, i checked the ohm on the spark plug wires today. wire 1 and 4 are at 113, wire 2 is at 13, and wire 3 is at 10. must be it! i checked the o2 sensor reading and got .04-.06 readings fluctuating....

Re: Is there a way to tell if I'm going into closed loop?

yep, waited til the rpms dropped to 700ish rpms, and the fan turned on. jumped the service connector, and used my timing light to set the timing to 16 (middle of the 3 lines).

I used NGK's for the...

Re: Is there a way to tell if I'm going into closed loop?

the car ad ecu are obd1. i have changed the spark plugs, injectors, adjusted/re-calibrated the TPS, set ignition timing to 16, the distributor might be going out, because my RPM's are always off. one...
