Re: low voltage problem

I would check to make sure the ecu and the actual measured voltage is the same.

If you are only getting 11v probably a bad regulator on the alternator. I would get that checked out.

Re: Plug Garret T3 wter ports if not using?

You don't need to plug the lines, its just a cavity. Who cares why its there.

I see no reason to hassle the guy. You should have known he didn't care about anything anyone here said.

Re: touch screen tuning?

Also something to keep in mind is touch screens are notorious for ghost touching. So pay very close attention to changes you didn't make.

Re: touch screen tuning?

I tried it but its practically useless. It should work just fine though. Since it has nothing to do with the software. Like every version of windows in the last ten years win 8 has a compatibility...

Re: Can I reuse the crank bolt?

I am if you can't get an oil pan gasket installed leak free.

Sure you can, you just have to use the right torque specs and not the ones for the factory gasket. IIRC its 60in/lb vs 104in/lb.

Re: Chips at top of RS sleeves (Pics)

Did you run antifreeze in that block? Looks like it had just straight water.

Re: Can I reuse the crank bolt?

So many people complain about oil pan gaskets leaking (especially the felpro) and calling them trash when they cannot be bothered to get a 1/4" drive torque wrench. Mostly its installer error (hint:...

Re: ignitor failing due to heat from turbo?

Who cares?

Bypass the ignitor or keep replacing them. It doesn't matter who has stock ignitions running on what car with a given hp, its irrelevant.

Re: Machine shop in the greater LA to do some porting work

DPRracing.com

They won't mess it up. Dan did my engine work several years back. Outstanding work!! I wouldn't let anyone else touch my stuff when it comes to porting.

Re: Any1 try the gtx3576R

Stock exhaust cam, ITR intake and ~9.2:1 compression. Engine has a ERL superdeck and DRP Stage 5 turbo work including a reshaped combustion chamber.

Re: Starting to build a homemade supercharger.

I did something like this with an inducted fan on a rc nitro boat back in the day.

My guess is that they worked equally as bad.

Re: b18c1

When I hydrolocked my b18c I ended up with holes in both sides of the block. I would be surprised if the block was even salvageable.

+1 helms manual.

Re: Mechanical Oil Pressure gauge OK in cabin??

Does a few psi accuracy even matter? Are you going to shut down if you're at 87psi vs 90? No, you wouldn't even notice.

Electrical and skip all this leak nonsense. Why even risk it?

Re: good ball bearing turbo?

GT2860rs. Crazy fast spool and sufficient for 300whp. I made 353whp on mine.

A GTX2860r will give you the same crazy spool you want with capability to hit 400whp with a good flowing setup.

Re: is my turbo done ?

If there is a chip in the compressor wheel I would be taking everything apart to try and find it. My guess is its wedged in the intake side of your intercooler.

Also a chip means at least the...
