I'd occasionally drive it during the week, do local autox, and definitely track days at the local circuit. Tires, oil, and brake pads is all it would need. So much less work that my other track rat....

Exactly why I went the direction I did. I searched high and low for a '98 ITR but the prices aren't worth the fun factor for me, any more. I probably paid less for my Aston than I would the '98. LOL...

I registered in 2003. Sold my FBP '00 ITR #1525 yeeeears ago. Kinda miss it, but not enough to pay current pricing. 😂

WTB: '98 ITR. The more stock, the better. Flexible on mileage, if well taken care of. I will consider an 00/01 with CW respray, if done right.

NOT interested in black (been there, done that) or...

true. i wear a nomex hood and helmet, which helps a TON. i wear ear plugs if i have to drive the car to the track :(



is the 3" on a turbo car, i'm assuming? if so, the turbo helps to tone it...

to be honest, it's hard to be quiet N/A without a cat. if you run a 2.5" exhaust, a 2.5" HFC, and a 2.5" straight-through Magnaflow muffler (the oval one, not round), then you should have decent flow...

i had a friend ask me about a CW ITR to buy. i told him i'd check here. it can be a '97, '98, or a repainted '00/01. '98 is preferred, but doesn't matter.

Holding the plug while it fires doesn't allow the plug to ground and you can end up frying your coil.

we usually did the basics: timing belt, water pump, accessory belts, plugs, etc. the other OEM stuff lasts foreeeeeeeever.
