Update:

Oil light went to full bore flash on and off indicating, to quote the owners manual "a severe loss of oil pressure"

does this mean oil pump? or is there anything else in there?

hmm yeah, pulled and checked all the plugs, cleaned em up and regapped em, also i checked cap and rotor, all seemed to be good, plug wires are about 1.5 years old, wouldnt think itd be them. coil...
