idle drops low in neutral only when cold

99 civic ex with a obd1 d16 swap. When motor is cold when you rev it or step on the clutch to neutral, idle drops to 200 and sometimes dies. Idle from this point will go back up to 1500 rpm but not...

Just one for knock sensor. Had this cel for years since I don't run one.

Also have a car starter installed, not sure if that could be an issue.

It was probably 30F out today. Heat warmed up after 10 min of driving which seems normal. I can basically idle my car up to normal operating temp no prob. Once I start driving for say 15 min...

Groove on crank from rear main seal

So I my motor was puking oil from the rear main, after pulling it out I saw a groove on the crank. I've done some searching and I found seating the new seal on a fresh part of the crank would fix it....

I didn't want to risk scratching the crank with a screwdriver, tried threading a screw into the seal but couldn't pull it out that way.

Yeah the rear main seal I just used motor oil, the sealant is for the rear main housing. I had to remove to to get the seal out.

I can't find hondabond ht locally but I have a tube of hondabond 4. Will 4 work just fine to mate the rear main seal housing to the block. I've read somewhere that its not meant to be used on...

B16a will only start on second try when cold

So I am trying to diagnose a problem with my newly replaced b16a, I bent valves on the previous b16. When the engine is cold it will never start on the first try, but will always catch on the second...

Just swapped it onto my 94 ex and it fits well other than having to remove the heatshoelds. It also hits my shifter a bit but nothing a grinder won't fix.
