Re: (4DRPIMPIN)

hybridgarage.com has a good tech article based on this. They also dyno'ed it as well as the b20z. I believe they did both.

Re: H22 or Type r (Eg692Si)

Its a matter of personal preference, advantage of the 22 is the torque and the c5 doesn't require as much work to get it in. Otherwise its up to you.

Re: 1/4 time .. respond and post (poison)

I'd worry about who you are arguing with, and asking that question is dumb. Way too many variables, for all you know you may drive a 14.9 and toss the keys to say poison and he runs a 14.3 just...

Re: GSR or b16a1 head???????????? (The B Man)

The b16 head loses compression. Therefore, go with a thinner head gasket while your at it, as well swap to a skunk2 manifold. Then use your ITR stuff in the head. This should be good for you....

Re: (97Civic-R)

Dude, thats a smokin deal, at minimum take it and turn around and sell it for 2500. That is the full swap right? If so then you have a lot of options. However, boosted b16 is a good route. Easy to...

Re: All motor monster: tuneing high compression z6 (spun Vtec)

You need a better way to tune (I recommend hondata or EMS) however chipping your ecu and vafc should work ok for it. Goodluck.

Re: 82mm and such (hybridvteceg)

With stock sleeves I wouldn't bore any more than you have to at the most. If you want any more than about 81.5 I would have it sleeved, if not you are just in for problems.

Re: what should my b16 idle at?? (91hatchcivic)

There is a small idle set screw on the throttle body, turning that adjusts the idle. If you can't get it down by doing that check every hose for a minor (MINOR) leak. Goodluck.

Re: FS: NTK wideband o2, EK SRS steering wheel, sohc tranny, oilpan, autometer oil press (keebler65

To help him out, you need a specific controller such as FJO(I believe they use the NTK) or the DIY wideband controller. It is much much more accurate than a stock one. If one has any decent means of...

Re: Compression results (5thgencivic)

The number 4 on the b16 is questionable. As for what I would do personally, is I would probably pick up the b16 with the thought of a basic rebuild first. At least rings, bearings, gaskets, and...

Re: B20 w/gsr internals. Will it work? (SlvrEj6Dx)

The gsr crank is very strong. Have the rods shot peened and polished. However the piston specs need to be looked into. Is this going to be nonvtec or with vtec head? LS crank and CRV cranks are...

Re: i want to make this swap/trade, am i getting a good deal??? (tmekjian)

Ok few things. One check how far he decked the head (this could pose major issues down the line.) Two, he claims it is at about 12.9:1 compression. If this is true it won't run on normal pump gas....

Re: engine papers? (junglerunna02)

If its JDM then there is no worry. However otherwise, I might still be able to get numbers run or you can probably call up the local pd and find out a way to have it done. It doesn't take more than...

Re: B16 question (CandyRedHatch)

Not enough info, is the car gutted? How are you tuning it? Do you have it chipped? As well, how good of a driver are you? All major factors.

Re: This motor looked suspicous. (pennies_hatchie)

Nothing will ever be suspicous except the person. I have dealt with stolen motors before. There is no reason to accuse anyone of anything unless there is better reason than their motor looks wierd....

Re: (nerces)

Basically this is how I see it. It doesn't matter how you want to go about getting it in the car, that is not the most difficult part of it. The wiring is what will give the most problems. You must...

Re: JRSC on H22 swapped EG??? Would it fit?? (SleeprCivic)

I'm with newman, as far as I know it takes a lot of cutting to clear the belts. As well, the sc isn't nearly as good as turbo (lack of intercooling). As well, if your going to spend the money go all...

Re: h23+types pistons+a little giggle gas??? (Fly1865)

h23+types pistons+a little giggle gas???

I am getting an h23 within the next few months. I am thinking about using the type s pistons in it. Along with WEBB cams and anywhere from 50-75 shot for the track. Let me know what you guys think.
