im still around had a 98 type R back in 2006 currently have a 1999 Type R all matching #'s and OEM paint ...and might have another one in the future that is not perfect but still a R that i can track...

Dave, i got some paperwork from the DMV asking for a compliance letter today .. i gave them a copy of it when i registered it but i am guessing it was lost somehow.... guess i will deal with that on...

it is a 20 minute process to cross the boarder with it and he already has the compliance letter it will be hassle free to import it.. trust me i know i did it 2 months ago with my Type R

no it will not .. they never popped my hood or asked what mods it had .. they cared that it was left hand drive and he wanted to see the door vin sticker thats about it ...

it was monday -friday 9am-5pm when i crossed with my type R last month leaving Kelowna to washington i arrived at 4:30pm and by time i was leaving they were locking up maybe where you are passing...

the compliance letter will be in the previous owners name the forms needed are EPA Form 3520-1 and DOT form HS-7

you will need the bill of sale (from when the previous owner bought the car)...
