Re: Need help with choosing bearings

honestly it depends and can vary based off your oil preference. Very general though, I would look for the upper limit of oem specs just shy of the service limit. Say .0018 +/- .0002 or so off the top...

Re: Acl over oem main bearing advantages

Back from the dyno. 521/374@23 psi c12. All in all, in the ballpark I expected. Oil psi in the upper 80s toward rev limiter. Compression is 195-200psi

Re: Block surface finish

Grey scotchbrite works great on aluminum. Real light pressure in a swirling motion making sure not to stay in the same area too long. You can always take more off but you cant add material back on

Re: Is the headgasket still good?

Hand tight is like 10 ftlbs. I would much rather use a tq wrench for uniformity in the tightening and clamping. I have been doing studs @10ftlbs and then nuts 25-50-80 ftlbs in 3 steps for well over...

Re: **OFFICIAL FORCED INDUCTION RANDOM CHAT THREAD**

With the knuckle off, you can pop the balljoints in and out
pretty easily with a good vise. Use a big socket or piece of pipe to allow for movement of the balljoint on
tthe way out, then flip it to...
