Car overheating, radiator fan only works when car is off??

A couple weeks ago my car started overheating if I was at a stoplight for too long, but it would be fine as long as I was moving. For the time being, I just turned the heat on high and it would be...

Re: (ImmaSquashYou)

As long as it does not modify the position of the catalytic converter or the oxygen sensor(s), it should be perfectly legal.

Although in California, its a whole different situation.

Re: (drifter_for_life06)

Does the idle stay that high until after the engine is fully warmed up?

Re: Grounding System (drifter_for_life06)

The only advantage of ground wires is really a better chance of your headlights not dimming slightly when you're idling. The stock ground wires do not go bad... the best thing to do would just be to...

Re: (raceACCORDingly)

I've gone through tons of different intake setups, and it seems that the only thing that is affected by different ones is throttle response and sound.

IMO the best setup I had was a homemade...

Re: h23 mani on f22 (pyrojeff)

And now that I reread his post, I see he's talking about the INTAKE manifold. Well now I feel like a dumbass.

I'm pretty sure they fit, because I know the H23 and F22B engines share the same...

Re: h23 mani on f22 (Dj14aZnS)

Im guessing he's talking about the F22b (because that's what's in his sig), and in this case the h23 manifold will not fit because it has evenly spaced primaries (o o o o), whereas the F22b has...

Re: (JDM4DRACCORD)

Just do engine (valve cover), alternator, and transmission for the three grounds. There are a lot more grounds than those, however.

Re: 94-97 DIY: Prothane front sway bar bushings and endlinks (94hondaaccordlx)

No, you dont have to, but it might make it easier to get to the endlink bolts.

Re: Throttle body carbon buildup (Mike0021)

There is no reason why that throttle plate shouldn't close all the way, unless you were driving with a really dirty air filter.

Even if what the mechanic says is true, you can get "Throttle Body...

Re: Frozen Caliper Pin (nz_mike)

Isn't the top caliper bolt supposed to be the pivot part? I thought you were only supposed to unbolt the bottom one, but maybe I'm thinking of something else.

Re: (z168)

I remember putting those on a while back. Had to cut off part of the headlight assembly (the black plastic stuff). Wasn't happy doing it, but the look of the outcome made it well worth it.

Re: How to strip my 94 accord (jonny05)

No, that tar is there for sound deadening, just to keep more road noise out of the cabin.

Re: replacing cat conv.

Definitely go with the OEM cat. You never know what these high-flow cats will make the ECU think in OBD-II cars.

Re: replacing cat conv. (TxTuner)

PB Blaster to loosen up those bolts!

Also, I don't know if Honda still used spring-loaded bolts in the 6th gen, but those may snap when you're putting them back on. Auto parts stores have them...

Re: Just inherted a '94 lx with a shitload of problems.... (1ntensiveVTECivic)

Definitely change the engine and tranny oil now. Try using some lubricant on the windows, wd40 is fine. The "funny sound" from the exhaust may be the catalytic converter's heat shield rattling;...
