Re: Engine Failure HORROR STORY. Everythings Junk.

They sell a new stamped lock, but not a machined lock. It's just like the factory style. And, it's the one depicted in the picture I posted of the valve pulling through. We have never seen a dropped...

Re: Engine Failure HORROR STORY. Everythings Junk.

Although, it is physically possible to run them, the Ferrea lock will change the installed height for the worse with high lift cams and the lock sets up kinda high for my tastes. It is really made to...

Re: Engine Failure HORROR STORY. Everythings Junk.

The pictures you showed do not depict a Manley lock was used. Although you are saying it, They are not silver by any means. Stock locks are very inconsistent. You could probably do a google search on...

Re: Engine Failure HORROR STORY. Everythings Junk.

crazy, I have a hard time wrapping my head around a valve breaking would cause so much carnage. I have seen all the manufactures fail many times in the same way, and does not and has not cause such a...

Re: True Street Class Civic 9.23@152/9.24@156. New PB

I second the thanks to letting HeadGames be apart of your build. No secret we have taken a little hiatus from the Honda stuff, to concentrate on the many fast Supra, GTR, Mitsu, and subi builds. It...

Re: Super True Street Supra Matt Lennen

I heard when boost logic built your trans, they machined a turbo 400 to fit inside the stock toyota auto case. And then I heard Matt can actually make the sound of gear shifts disappear!

Re: How much is too much? Head milling: B18C1

agreed to claying is the only real way...but from what you said of your combo, I am of the opinion that you would have zero issues. In fact, you could probably mill it some more to get a little...

Re: FASTEST TIMES ON STOCK PORTS??

bingo on all accounts there. You can make the power, but it will make it easier on a properly ported head. It will have more torque, and help for power to come on sooner.

Re: B18A1 Head Porting Advice Needed!

if your not paying to get a good valve job, don't waste your time polishing or smoothing. It won't give you anything. If you had a good valve job then you could pick up more flow then the polishing...

Re: Gsr flat face vales dont sit flush

the margin is thicker, so it will sit a bit higher in the chamber..a good valve would help take care of some of that, without sinking it much. Just dropping the valve in is not really going to gain...
