Re: Does anyone have a resonator?!?!

I imagine most people who drive their cars on the street do. I use a vibrant ultra quiet resonator on my k20 swap.

Re: Nice rack...

You could always replace all of the seals yourself. I'd install new tie rods while you were at it. Also check ebay. I purchased a complete ITR subframe and p/s rack for $0.01 :) I think that it...

Re: Special Projects - Electro Power Steer

karcepts also sells a bracket for the mr2 pump. And I'd also recommend running a small cooler. Depending on how you setup your pump, if it runs wide open then you will want a cooler. Mine has...

Re: EHPS Redone

The stock tube cooler should be sufficient. I'm using a very small $30 FAL cooler with my setup, but thats only because my civic didn't come with a factory cooler.

One small thing to keep in mind...

Re: Should I go B or K?

I don't hardly have the track experience that many of these guys have. However I do have a k20 powered civic with electric power steering that I've been doing events with for some time now. I did...

Re: 100% Newbie, intro, a question. sorry, lots of reading.

That truly sucks. That language would also eliminate coverage for defensive driving and safety schools.

Re: 100% Newbie, intro, a question. sorry, lots of reading.

key word there is "racing." Many hpde's are classified as "driving schools" or "driving instruction". Any form of timed/competition event will not be covered. A buddy of mine got his porsche into...

Re: EK Uneven drop question

eibach's don't typically sit even. My 98ex never sat straight with eibach pro-kits w/koni yellows. However it *did* sit evenly with h&r sports w/koni yellows. I've heard others complain about...

Re: rotor wobbling?

I'm in agreement with the others. Sounds like a bad wheel bearing. The rotor rides on the hub and the hub is secured by the wheel bearing. So play in the rotor is most likely due to the wheel...

Re: new master cylinder and still no pressure in lines

doesn't take that fluid to flush the calipers/lines, so if its still a soft pedal, then you either have a botched mc install, or you didn't get all of the air out of the mc.

Since you changed the...

Re: No brakes??

For future reference, I've found it best to pour brake fluid directly into the caliper when installing a new/dry caliper.

You most likely have too much air in the system due to the new caliper. ...

Re: faster rack in eg

The subframes are identical. Even have the same part number. What you saw was that the manual steering subframes are different from the power steering subframes.

So manual subframes are...

Re: integra MC on ek BB

depends on what year integra and what year ek. I know that the 98-01 integra mc will bolt up to 96-98 ek's.

*HOWEVER*, you shouldn't do it without swapping the booster as well. The reason is you...

Re: H&R SPORT SPRINGS w/ KONI SPORTS

Had the h&r sports w/koni yellows for several years on a 98ex. Loved the setup. The car was a daily driver and I did several hpde events a year. The h&R sports is about as stiff as you want to go...

Re: Use Honda Super Hi Temp Urea Grease on brake pads, is it ok?

I would not recommend the urea grease. The brake pads can get quite hot. I don't kow if the urea grease can handle the heat from the pads. Most auto parts stores sell small packets of anti-squeal...

Re: Fluid options?

1) Most street pads are not aggressive enough to have any significant impact on rotor life
2) Remember brakes don't stop the car, the tires do. Even the oem pads have enough bite to lock up most...

Re: bouncy rearend with h&r springs but im thinking its the struts

H&Rs are excellent springs. However this post is too vague to give any real guidance.

Which H&R springs are you running? H&R OE sport? H&R Sport? H&R Race? What shocks are you running and how...

Re: GSR Disc Brakes on EG

Don't forget that the integras had larger front calipers so they used different pads than the civics. So even though both shared the same 10.3" front rotor, they had different calipers.

Re: Fluid options?

For street use, practically any fluid will work. If you want a performance fluid, the ate superblue and ate type 200 gold are excellent choices. I use it in my daily driver and for track as well. ...

I've been running the gsr rack with the mr2 electric...

Re: Rear Brake Calipers - ITR vs EP3/DC5

Out of curiosity, what car do you have? I did this on a 98ex using 99-00si rear trailing arms.

Re: Rear Brake Calipers - ITR vs EP3/DC5

itr calipers are not terribly difficult. You can buy them new/reman from a dealer for about $150 each, whereas a set of ep3/rsx rears will cost roughly $140 for the pair from a salvage yard.

I've...

Re: K series remflex gaskets

Ok, not trying to knock these guys, but how does this gasket do better than the oem gaskets? The oem exhaust gasket has a nice crush ring in it for each cylinder.
