the b17a tranny never had a plate it only had d stamp on it ys1 if I recall.
so if the plate is missing two holes near distributor is a b16
also biggest mistake a lot of people do is neglect d fuel...

just by looking at interior how clean d guy kept it and wiring harness of car it will tell if d x owner was an idiot.
mechanically simple things tire wear find potholes to over with see if any...

but guess that all the wire harness at this point of life are toast so they crack and ground somewhere.

of course you can do anything you want
you just jump certain plugs to make the ecu think is in park or neutral.

don't forget the car is old so replace the pigtail on all injectors or wire harness if you can.

yes distributors are really sensetive but have a mechanic check your timming really well.
and also the plugs on distributors go bad double check them
another thing to look at is the speed...

since u r doing a ring might as well get higher compression pistons...
and best of all machine shop really does matter for this type of job...
shop around and make sure is reputable shop....

is really simple cheap chinese light bulbs destroy the bulb plug itself
so check all of them make sure that they are not making contact (melted shorting out)
then u should b alright.

if daily driver start with fuel management
ex hondata fuel pump injectors.
stuff like that and get rid off those ugly choes...

that is so simple at the bottom of the light bulbs you will see two contacts check all of the ones inside the tail lights and see if the contacts have not infused or the assembly also and thats where...

so it sounds like a vacuum is not plugged in right..
obd1 has a sensor in the throttle body but in obd0 is against the firewall.

take out the dizzi cover and check if rotor is turning
check for spark and fuel.

sounds to me that u r streesing (stretching)the axle and when u turn it relieves the stress are all the mounts in properly?
are the axles u have the ones u need?
was the LSD good before install?
