Re: 8 seconds

Putting the power down is a HUGE key. You can throw all the power at it running out the top, but without knocking down a 4.2x or lower at the 330, you aren't going to see that 8 second pass.

Re: Midwest event

Should be a 72mm car coming up from Iowa, maybe a 62mm car as well.

Re: R.I.P Jason Lumpkin " you will be missed "

Have you ever seen the amount of bounce in a TF dragster at almost every track in the nation? The chassis is built as the suspension.

Re: R.I.P Jason Lumpkin " you will be missed "

That car is as stable as it is going to get. You are blaming something that is not there.

Re: R.I.P Jason Lumpkin " you will be missed "

Plenty of shutdown area at the track. You can stop from 160+ on the brakes fairly comfortably.

Re: R.I.P Jason Lumpkin " you will be missed "

The guy I help out with has never complained of an issue at this track. and has raced in 5 events there the last two seasons, including 4 IFO's and the FusionWerks race as well. Both of the CRX's...

Re: R.I.P Jason Lumpkin " you will be missed "

San Antonio let it go recently as well. And all other tracks he has competed since last year. Not just Wichita...

Re: R.I.P Jason Lumpkin " you will be missed "

I thought that I was the only one that saw the car moving in and out of the groove quite a bit going down the track. He did cross the centerline after the 1000' cone. That lead to the correction to...

Re: Parachute and tether mounting locations

Drive into the chute, clutch in, neutral, clutch out, apply brakes slow and steady.

Re: What would you all recommend for this oil return?

Check out Carroll Smith's book of plumbing. It will change your thoughts on fittings.

Re: -20an fittings?

The ones from Vibrant are pretty decent. I usually am a Earl's only kind of guy, but they did not have all the -20's in black that I wanted, so went exploring and found the Vibrant pieces.

Re: IMPORT FACE-OFF: Joliet, IL (Chicago area) - Route 66 Raceway - Sept 21st, 2014

I will make sure there is a larger contingent from the Central Iowa area next year. I know quite a few that were upset that they missed out. And if drifting is added, that will only grow the...

Re: how much of a difference is there on airing down m&h 235/60-15 dots?

I have run them around 8-8.5 psi at the track. Yielded our best 60's. No lower than 12 on the street. Seems to do pretty well.

Re: Where to buy Lenso drag wheels??

It has been a while since I owned my 4th gen, and I never did my own front wheel bearings on that car. Having done them on multiple civic/integra spindles now, I would do it myself for the Prelude...

Re: Where to buy Lenso drag wheels??

Can you run a 90-91 Prelude hub assembly? They fit a 36mm axle, and are 4x100. That is what my outers are for my 3.9's.

Re: Drop in pistons question

Yes to this.

Or, measure your block and see if an 81mm is going to work for you. I built a GSR for a friend last year. He asked if we would be able to stay 81mm, and I told him I would need to...

All very true, and this guy knows his stuff. The best one is the last line. I really feel that in Iowa. 70% year round.

Re: How to make Strange Engineer Drag Coils Work

If you are on Lenso's up front, the wide front end helps clear them. Can sit lower than I will be able to on a stock front end. Worst case, I have to get Rosko to make me some spacers for now. ...

Re: Deciding between 13x8 and 13x9 rims on EK

Talk to Damien with TD/Belak, he set me up with 13x9's, 5" BS for my EK. I voiced concerns regarding my SIR lip on the car. He told me to go with a 9 instead of the 10 so i would not have to cut my...

Re: Question for guys using kingpin machine spherical ft ends

I can understand that Chris. More often than not, I drive my car 65 miles each way to the local 1/8th for TnT. Longer distance for events, I will most likely trailer it. I do enjoy driving the car...
