Re: Yokohama ADVAN A048 Tires. (6spdKEG)

I run the A048 in a 225/50R15 in autocross events. Although they have tons of grip, I think they're slightly behind the Hoosier and Kumho. They seem to have a bit more grip than the A032 which I...

Re: 15x7, +35 offset, 225/50 - Fitment issues? (DSPDA3)

After fitting the wheels/tires up, and heat cycling the tires, I have a slight rubbing condition on the front fender lip. A bigger front sway would probably help, but for the immediate future, I...

Re: Yokohama Advan A032R-S pressures (Louie B.)

How did they do in the wet? I never got a chance to run in the wet with those tires, but from others who ran them, they are quite fast in the wet.

Re: So... who all has had or is considering Lasik surgery (ekek888)

Does anyone know of an upper limit that Lasik is good for? I'm at -7.5/-8.0, and it's been pretty stable at that for the past 5 years now.

Re: 15x7, +35 offset, 225/50 - Fitment issues? (Black R)

I'm going to be running a +35 offset. Anything lower and I wouldn't be able to get the tires under the rear fenders. 35 may be pushing the limit. If I go too high, I run the risk of rubbing the...

Re: Yokohama Advan A032R-S pressures (Louie B.)

I ran the 215/50 on a 13x8 as well, running them on an '89 Integra. I found that 33f/31r worked quite nicely. I would start with 35 all around, and go from there. Or you can try 33/31 and see how...

Re: 15x7, +35 offset, 225/50 - Fitment issues? (Black R)

I would think +42 offset would run the tire too close to the strut. SP allows fender rolling, and even cutting on the fender, but no modifications inboard of the hub mounting surface. We can add...

Re: 15x7, +35 offset, 225/50 - Fitment issues? (eficker)

I wouldn't imagine a DA9 would be that different than a DA3, as far as clearance is concerned. What is the stock offset?

Re: 15x7, +35 offset, 225/50 - Fitment issues? (eficker)

I assume you don't have any rubbing issues up front with the 40 offset? I have talked to a guy with another DA3, and he's running a 35 offset with the 225s, and he has experienced rubbing when...

Is this with a 35 offset? Do you have any pictures?

15x7, +35 offset, 225/50 - Fitment issues?

I did some searches, and although I found some relevant info, I'm still a little uncertain. I haven't had a chance to fit the wheels up yet, but I should be able to within 2 weeks time.

Has...

Re: Yokohama Advan A032R ??? (turboman)

If you plan to road race as well as autocross, I would opt for the H-compound. You 'may' get 10k miles on them, but with road race duty, as well as autocross, I would expect something like 6-7k...

Wheel width vs. Weight

What's more important? Width or weight? I'm looking at several options for wheels, one being a 15x7 Rota (~13lb.) or a 15x6.5 Konig Helium (~11lb). I would be running a 225/50 on them. Would the...

Re: Info on SCCA and Autocross (mountainEG6)

I can't guarantee that I'll be there Mar. 12, but look me up. I'll be in a silver '89 Integra, running DSP.

Re: tires, which one(yokohama,sumitomo) (snowman0520)

How wide is the VX wheel?

I'm assuming 5in.?

You could definitely mount up a 175/60R13. Kumho and Yok both have a tire in that size... Ecsta V700, and the A032R. Both would be significantly...

Novices in our region can pretty much run novice for as long as they want. I don't recall any stipulation saying how long they can stay in the class. However, if they win Novice class just 1 time,...

Re: What Category do you race ? Stock, Street Prepared, Street Modified, etc ... (mtbprelude)

Started in '01 with DSP as a novice, then discovered STS. Ran STS until '04, then made the jump to DSP for '05, this time with R-comps. All in the same '89 Integra.

I would suspect gearing would be fine in your case. Holy crap...

I've got a 7200 redline, with a 4.214 FD.

Re: (Mohudsolo)

Granted it's a 16yr old car, but I'd rather not cut up the fenders if I can help it. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emsmilep.gif
