Don't do panel bond adhesive for patch panels. later on you'll see a lot ghosting and you'll be able to see your repair.

Use a proper paint adhesion promoter. 05907 was never designed for this purpose.

NNEEVVERRR use cardboard as a mixing board as Hidenplanvew stated. with the wax they put on cardboard, you may get some fish eye developing when you paint.

Be sure to spread the filler flat on the mixing board so you have more time to work with the filler. Heat will make the filler cure faster, letting it sit in a ball or in a big thick puddle will...

its a good chance there isn't any clear under that stripe. it'll have to be sanded and touched up, and re-cleared.

There is small clips on the back of dash that holds the stock harness in place and out of the way. if you unclip those, with the after market harness+stock harness, you should have enough to move it...
