this is a crx with a d16 z6, so relocating hte battery will give me room to run a typical short ram

yeah, I know that, I am just getting by until I have the time to relocate the battery then I will put a short ram aem on it (the intake is sitting in the garage waiting)

lol, ok, I didn't realize the d16 vtec was so anemic! I am going to try putting a test light on it tonight.

I am using obd1 p28 ecu. I have the schematics and the pinouts for the ecu. I will try putting a test light on it and see what I get. Any other ideas would be appreciated.

I guess I don't know for sure. I was under teh impression that I would be able to tell when the vtec kicks in. It seems pretty flat and slow acceleration at high rpms. what is the vtec crossover...

So I have a d16z6 that I swapped into my crx. The wiring for the VTEC is correct.

Last night I checked the wiring, I pulled off the solenoid and checked the screens and that the plunger moved...

Post the pin numbers for the wires that you do not know about. There should only be afew wires you are confused on. I just got done doing my dpfi to mpfi / obd0 to obd1 and made all my own...

I am talking about ignition timing. I set the middle of the three marks to line up with the mark on the timing cover with my timing light.

My marks have no color. There are two marks and then there are 3 more. I set the mark on the timing cover to line up with the middle of the three marks. Is this not right?
