I went thru a few alternators when my downpipe...

I went thru a few alternators when my downpipe was cracked, and my car would run fine all the way down to between 10 and 9 volts on the turbo timer. All of the dash lights and headlights would go...

If I remember right, it's the second to the left...

If I remember right, it's the second to the left hose of the three hoses on the back left of the intake manifold. Far left goes to the cruse control, and the far right is plugged.

Disconnect that...

I'm pushing 450+ whp thru an ACT Xtreme Pressure plate and a 6-puck disk. I have also used a street-strip clutch with the xtreme plate on the same car... No problems out of either in over a year.

Have you had the key switch recall done? There is a recall on the switch that will cause it to turn off..

There is no way that either the defective key switch or a CEL could lock your steering...

My turbo car has all crower head components and they recommend conventional oil for use with their cams, so I am running good ole Havoline 5w-30.

conventional 5w-30... Used synthetic before I built my head with Crower internals... They recommend conventional oil only.

Most people agree that it's a marketing thing as far as power goes...

There were some changes, though. One of the main differences is the size of the main crankshaft journals.

The red and white wires on the MSD box goto the car's wiring harness that plugged into the old coil. The orange and black wires goto the MSD coil... Orange is positive.
