I hate dead end threads, so I came back to say the ECU was bad. I found a known good p28 and it fired right up.

Its OBD1, so i do think the ecu has FP control. Its a chipped unit if that matters. It was running fine up till that point, so its gotta be something stupid that just shat the bed.
