Bad Alternator?

I have an odd whining noise at idle that gets progressively worse as I rev the engine up.

I tested the battery voltage with both the engine off and at idle and got a reading of 12.5 both times....

G9 Accord - Comparable Cars?

I'm in the market for a used, somewhat sporty sedan.

Max budget is $17,500.
'13 or newer.
40k miles or less.

I'm considering a G9 Accord Sport. I drove a CVT model yesterday and was...

Re: Post up your big nitrous honda !!! Searched !!!

You don't have to. But it's highly recommended whether the bottle is full or not.

Re: nitrous and boost?

Don't listen to him. Saying nitrous won't work with a GSR head is retarded.

It will work just fine with that head and will produce power far and beyond what the jets are rated at because of the...

Do higher intake temps increase MPG, or decrease them?

Re: (MooreBoost)

Another thought, if that's true about the alternator, why not just stick another car battery in your trunk, and run the hydrogen generator off that?

You'd have to stick a charger on it...

Re: (02 accord)

What I don't understand about the people commenting on the fact that it takes more power from your alternator than you gain from the hydrogen, is that you're alternator is turning no matter what....

Re: water injection+JRSC = lower IATs? (wfocrx)

Yes, you will produce lower intake temps.

You typically mount the nozzle in the intake pipe.

The greatest benefit will rise from your greater knock threshold however.

Re: (1700anddroping)

Let me reiterate.

With a base of 250 WHP, I made 300 WHP on a 100 shot.

IE- I was down 50 WHP because I had low bottle pressure.

Re: (SPL Dan)

Bottle pressure is a huge factor in varying WHP figures.

I had a 100 shot on my G35, and because it was freezing out and I didn't have a heater, it put down 50 extra whp.

Re: ZC Build what suggestions (95civic16)

Is it even boosted yet?

If not, get it boosted and running well, then build it if you still want more.

Re: (1cpu)

Consider keeping your FMU, and installing an AFC to fine tune things.

No worries about advancing the timing, and if you couple it with a plug-n-play harness, you can get back to stock very quickly.

The fact that you aren't going to run them again should tell you whether or not you should sell them.

Re: (HiProfile)

I made 210whp on a B18c1 with an FMU.

He probably means there's not much sense in trying to tune a set up with an FMU, as much greater gains could be made with the ability to accurately adjust...

Re: (HamiltonRex)

Wet takes fuel from your feed line by way of a fuel T. It then mixes the nitrous and fuel at the nozzle in the intake.

Dry kits bump your fuel pressure and introduce the extra required fuel by way...
