A lot of ppl say stay away from the green with inverter machines but I'm getting a little mixed-up regarding the green. I've had no problems using it though with this machine and the red does not...

I have the same machine and it welds aluminum fine. I use the green tungsten though. What I found is that when using 115V I have to turn up the amps more than if I was using 220V. Crank it up a bit...

Look into the Eastwood Tig 200 (http://www.eastwood.com/eastwood-s-ac-dc-tig-200-welder.html) At $899 plus a 3yr warranty you cant beat this entry-level machine. I bought one and love it.

Chad, you may want to bolt down the header flange before welding the runners to it. (Ask me how I know) What I did was get a small section of "I/H" beam and drilled the bolt pattern for different...

Sch 40 and Sch 10 are "pipe" not tubing. They were originally intended for plumbing purposes but it's used for the manifolds. The last time I ordered elbows I got it here:...

Nice! The very first manifold I made I did everything by hand!. No milling machines. A die grinder, some carbide burrs, 5" grinder and a drill press and I had my flanges!
