No real "need" for it, but if it can stay cooler on the cheap, why not ?

$1 for a jug of distilled water from wal-mart, and what, $5 or $6 for a bottle of water wetter ?

You can change the coolant to have less anti-freeze and it'll help it from getting as hot. Anti-freeze isn't anti-hot. My stock 12R, and my high compression big bore 12R both would get hot at idle in...

I know of a TL1000R with 100k miles on it. I know of several ZX-12Rs with 30-40k+ miles. Busas with 50k. GSX-R1000 with 40k. ZX-11s, Blackbirds, and I know of a ZX-14 with a ton of miles on it...

I don't run ANY antifreeze. I use a mix of about 75% distilled water, and 25% water wetter. I used Engine Ice for a while, but the water wetter combo ran cooler and replacing engine ice after working...

If the power commander is still hooked up, the "stock fuel map" will be all zeroes, which is the same as unplugging it from the bike.
