Re: (zc911)

L&B charged me $160. They also hot tanked my block though (which I didn't ask for). Now, after I've installed everything, somehow the engine oil and coolant is mixing. I've decked the head, new...

Re: head gasket leaking - b20/vtec - *pic* (irev210)

Okay, well my engine seems to still be leaking. But I don't think it's the head gasket anymore (after milling the head). I think it's leaking where the vtec plug is. I already used to high temp...

Re: head gasket leaking - b20/vtec - *pic* (smokey2.0)

The head gasket I'm using is the OEM Honda 3 layer B20B 84mm head gasket. The arp studs, were double nutted to "seat" them down.
And I'm using the b16a distributor for the b16a head.
I already...

Re: head gasket leaking - b20/vtec - *pic* (CRXGSR)

Well, it's still no good. I had the head decked flat, and I even re-drilled the dowel holes deeper to make sure that that wasn't the problem. I already checked the block (with straight edge and...

Re: ls vtec distributor question??? (egcivicturbo)

Use the correct distributor for the correct computer. If computer is obd1, use the obd1 distributor and vice versa.

I think you'll have to use the LS distributor, and chop off one of it's...

Re: head gasket leaking - b20/vtec - *pic* (Jeff C)

Yes, I removed the rivits holding the gasket in place. BTW, the pic is labelled wrong. The word "intake side" should be on the bottom of the pic. I emailed c-speed racing, and never got a reply. ...

head gasket leaking - b20/vtec - *pic*

First, a little info:

I'm using a 1st gen B16A head, and a B20B bottom. To put the 2 together, I used ARP GSR headbolts along with a new OEM Honda headgasket and the usual stuff (re-drilled...

Tranny/clutch help!

So here's the story. I was replacing a tranny (from 89DX to 90 Si). At the same time I replaced the flywheel/clutch/pressure plate to the 90 Si.

Now that everything is installed, when the engine...

Re: Tie rod or wheel bearing.. (ShoeBoxRacer90)

Here's what you do. Jack up that side of the car. Shake the wheel.

If you feel some play left and right, then it's most likely the tie rod.
If you feel some play up and down, then either...

Re: 92-95 hood on crx? (photonjedi808)

the 92-95 hood is a lot longer than the crx hood. Left to right, it'll fit, but lengthwise it won't match up to your hood latch.

Oil leak problem - LS/VTEC

Well, I finished putting my ls/vtec together, and after starting for a few minutes, there's an oil leak. The leak seems to come from the back of the head, kinda under the vtec oil line, where the...

Re: radiators support hhelp (project dc2)

Did you remove the original rad support? If you did, then you probably drilled out the old spot welds. Well, when putting your new rad support in, drill some holes into it where the old spot welds...

Re: EF Swap Techs Please look (civicdragger818)

I think you should shim the driver's side mount up. Place a washer or two on the bolts to lift the motor up. If doesn't clear enough, change the crank pully. The B16A and GSR pulleys are slightly...

How did you hook up PCV valve with B20VTEC/CR-VTEC?

Just wondering what you guys did. I know one option is to drill a hole in the valve cover, and put the PCV valve there, but what other options are there?

Re: thrust washer question (IN VTEC)

yes, I know the grooves face "towards the crank" already. Maybe I should re-state my question:

There are 2 thrust washers. Each thrust washer has 2 sides (1 grooved, 1 non-grooved). Now when...

The 1st gen b16a already has a water temperature sensor on the back of the block. Why not just use that?

Re: lugnuts - acorn or conical (tilt)

You just look at where the nuts touch the rim. If that spot has rounded edges, then use acorn nuts. If you see it in the shape of a cone (slants) then use conical.

Re: ... ls crank - what is a good price to pay for one? (1.8T_EG)

I've got an extra LS crank. I'll let it go for $50, but shipping will be from Canada. Email me at CRXGSR@email if you are interested.
