Interior fans won't turn off, always on full blast

I've got a 99 dx and whenever I turn my car on the fans in the dash come on full blast. I can't adjust them by turning the knob on the dash. Any one ever have this happen or know how to fix it?...

The carfax says that the car was serviced 2 years ago.. do things like oil changes show up in there or would that be a major service like a timing belt?

I just bought a 95 LS with 80,000 miles on it. The dealer claims that he knows for a fact that the timing belt has already been replaced by the original owner, but those guys lie a lot.. is there any...

Will you damage your automatic transmission by "sport shifting"?

I wasn't really sure what the term was for this, but it's when you start your automatic out in D1, then move to D2, D3, etc. Is this bad for your transmission?

Well, it's only like half an inch lower.. if that. I was told that stock shocks would be fine, maybe they're not though. Anyways, what kind of damage will occur?

All other suspension parts stock, oldish shocks

The problem:

When I'm driving down the street and I hit a bump in the road, my car makes a clicking...
