Just doing a quick search on Fram's site shows the 88-00 Civic(PH3593A) filter is DIFFERENT than an 01-09 Civic(PH7317) filter... I'm almost postive that the tech installed an 01-09 Civic filter...

You need to get your facts straight before you post. Not until 2001 did Honda make the majority of their oil filters the same, exluding Insight, S2000, etc. Just doing a quick search on Fram's site...
