Re: B16A / B18C5 JRSC the same???? (B16AHondaSi)

No, they are different. M62 blower for B18C5 kit, M45 for B16A kit. Thats why the R kit is a couple hundred more. You can swap these 2, they are both PR3 head, B18C5 is just factory ported. They...

Re: Starting Problem with Toda Powered GS-R (Spyderwebab)

Happy 21st!

Check tranny ground.

It sounds like you have an old honda starter. How many miles on starter? My old (145k) starter did the same as you describe, replacing it solved the problem. ...

Re: B16 Oil leak! looks to be from vtec solenoid????? (CRXTypeR)

The newer rubber one, or an aluminum peice will work fine. I forget how much the hondabond is but they'll have it at the dealer too. Its like grey liquid gasket, but works much better. Just remove...

Re: B16 Oil leak! looks to be from vtec solenoid????? (CRXTypeR)

It looks like the cam seal. Its probably the older hard plastic one with 4 "prongs" on it. I had one on my 95' RS and it was prone to leaking. The newer replacements are rubbery, they should be...

Re: Tests on the PCV system - How Honda intended it - (dasher)

This is a great post dasher!

Would a slash cut tube in the intake arm allow the pcv to open while under load? Or would the pressure from the valve cover overcome it?

1. As long as its clean it...

Re: how to adjust timing on b18b1 (dniedacess)

Don't forget to short the service connector or the ecu will try to correct the timing as you change it via the dist.
1. Short service connector under passenger side footwell with a paperclip or...

Re: 3k rpm idle :crook: (Bob-DC2)

GSR IACV? I'm sure you'v noticed there are 2 different styles, gsr and and all other bseries. I noticed the Skunk2 IM is setup to accept either one but the gsr IM won't. If you take off the intake...

Re: how long did it take you to remove the head? (91integraLSVTEC)

After draining coolant/oil, about 30min if you leave the IM attached. Its much easier to remove outside the car.

Break bolts/nuts loose w/ratchet and use an electric drill w/socket attachment to...

Re: What can be done with a non-vtec B18B and remain all motor? (ADAH 303)

You need to increase your compression to take advantage of what you already have. You could use Teg or Civic R pistons to keep cost down. Mill the head, deck the block, run thinner head gasket are...

Re: Help - Timing Belt Tensioner Bolt Stripped (jtintegra)

Did you use a 12pt or 6pt socket? 12pt will strip it almost every time, try a 6pt if you haven't all ready.

Re: Newly built H22 -- lack of oil pressure!!! (GruvyTune)

I would try another gauge first. Make sure the connection to block doesn't have anything(teflon tape or paste) covering the entry. If you pressure is low enough for a light, the engine should be...

Re: Will milling the head change the cam timing? (Rhetoric)

No just +3 degrees. I know some cam gears adjust in 2deg increments, so use 1.5 marks on the gear to get 3 degrees.

Re: Will milling the head change the cam timing? (Typesi2nv)

Milling the head or decking the block decreases the distance between the cams and crank. The timing belt stays the same length, so for every .012" you remove, cam timing is retarded 1 degree. ...

Re: car idles perfect, but stalls when you go it gas too fast. (letholone)

Can you hit the gas up in the rpms without a problem? If yes, check the fuel pressure regulator. If the fuel pressure isn't dropping at idle, it might idle but when you hit it, pressure is too high...

Re: (RyanCivic2000)

The GE sleeved block doesn't have the support at the top of the cylinders, its down the bore. Surrounding the bottom of the combustion chamber with metal increases heat. Drill holes in it, scallop...
