My GS-R always burned a lot of oil, even when new. FWIW, it had 221k miles on it when we sold it with 0 engine problems. I eventually switched to 10w40 and it helped a LOT.

Just keep an eye on...

More than likely it's just a syncro. Depending on mileage, I'd do the bearings while you're in there, mine started to go bad at around 150K on my '96 GSR.

Put in a Quaife or ITR Limited Slip...

During the summer I run Dunlop SP Sports on the stock 96' GS-R wheels. They were good too, buch better than those crappy falkens they sell at the dealer. And the dry handling of the WS-50's... Well...

I'm trading my 1996 Integra GS-R in this week, it has 217,610 miles and it's time for something new. Only a honda could still perform the way it does, on an original engine, burning less than a quart...

I guess you're right, it would be hell on the differential (welded material), but that's all in the transmission case is it not? Which would put stress on the case too, so it wouldn't be too good for...

I used white lithium grease on mine, same as on the sunroof tracks. Use some and then put the antenna up and down a few times, then wipe off any excess with a dry rag.

don't worry man there was a guy I knew back in HS who was epileptic. He took medicine for it and he was TOTALLY fine, and he drove. The meds make you gain weight, but if you work out it won't be all...

Simply welding the diff. together is HELL on the tranny, because it doesn't allow them to ever spin at different speeds when turning, which is necessary. An LSD allows the wheels to spin at different...

Just bear with me and try something. While cruising put it in neutral as if you are between gears. Then rev. Do the lights brighten? I think they probably will...
