I need to replace both forks on my 1998 CBR600. I’m having problems finding 97/98 forks, let alone at an appropriate price. I’m now considering 95/96 forks but recall reading that the 97/98 forks...

I got the transmission out tonight and its pretty obvious what the problem is. I never would of suspected this but oh well.

Its very difficult to turn the TOB by hand...

Thats what I suspect but I'd like more confirmation before I replace it. Changing transmissions is not a hobby of mine and I'd hate to replace it only to find out its the ______ instead of the tranny.

Before this car had the "twin engine" http://images.honda-tech.com/set1//smile/emcrook.gif conversion it used to surface on ebay every couple of months. Strong candidate for worst fabrication though.

I'm doing mine this summer and I was planning on flanging. East wood and harbor freight sell pneumatic flanger/punch tools, I rather use that than the hand version, I don't wanna spend any more time...
