You see then if thats true, I have another problem. When I disconnect it, and turn the car back on it goes back to the same spot, whether the car is warmed up or not.

So I just figured this out:

In the head near the distributor there's 2 temperature sensors. The one with a 2-wire connector is for the ECU. The one with only 1 wire is the sender for the gauge.

Temp Gauge:
Noticed that even on COLD startups, the tempeture gauge goes straight to the middle of the gauge. Meaning no gradual warm up as far as the temp....

That connection is fine, I've checked it a bunch of times now since taking it off/on.




Its not a new starter. And the connections are fine.

This is good and should be added to the sticky. Although its doable its a lot of work and Id rather have someone else do it. Its usually a 350.00 job though.
