Re: creates more power 1.8 ls or 2.0 prelude motor (Freakn8)

yeah, the prelude 2.0 is generally considered junk (i think it's a b20a)... it's basically just an ls block with an extremely long stroke (i think).
If you're building a drag only car, you may want...

Re: OT: M3 vs LT1 Camaro Police Video (Snafu-Si)

Okay, I don't know why nobody realizes that the commentator obviously knows absolutely nothing. The driver of that car is probably not 15, probably not a thief, and probably did get away. I'd say it...

Re: What ECU to run for the B20vtec??? (hondaatwsu)

I'm not an expert by any means, but my guess would be your combination of the GS-R ECU with the b16 intake manifold and the type r head http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emwink.gif ...
You might...

Re: Loss of brake pedal pressure, no fluid leakage! (Angry Joe)

I actually had this problem in my '93 civic... noticed it after I bled the brakes.
I assume what you're describing is as follows...
-coming to a stop... brake normally... okay...
-coming to the...

Re: How long should rear brake pads last on a 2001 Accord? (Nitz5785)

That's actually a little comforting... it's not ours that are lasting 18k... 18k is what the dealer called "average"... ours were 30k... close to your 35k.
Still... I'd like some sort of consensus...

Re: How long should rear brake pads last on a 2001 Accord? (01GSR)

No, he drives normally (first automatic in like 20 yrs for him... so I think two foot driving would be a hard habit to pick up).
So then this would probably confirm our suspicions about the brakes...

Re: How long should rear brake pads last on a 2001 Accord? (TypeSH)

Yeah, I thought about that too... but the uneven wearing and the excessive brake dust at the rear is rather weird too.
I'm mostly just wondering if the dealer is BSing about 18k tho...

How long should rear brake pads last on a 2001 Accord?

After 30k miles on my dad's 2001 Accord EX V6, the brake pads are pretty much metal to metal. The piston side has also worn a lot more than the caliper side.
Now, we've been accustomed to rear...

Re: LS tranny on D15? Possible? (BLK94RS)

You all just assume it's a 3G 'teg. IIRC, 1st gen 'tegs were d16a1 right? I would assume the 1G LS tranny would bolt to the d15... http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emsmile.gif

Re: Back From the DYNO! (Arturbo)

well all the correction stuff is based on algorithms and calculations, so of course it's not going to be completely accurate, but i believe SAE correction is pretty damn good. Does anybody know what...

Re: How much does it cost... (92sleepR)

i don't think a gsr motor exclusively or a turbo kit exclusively will get you into the 12s... maybe both... the cheapest way to go would be to fabricate your own turbo, of which i know nothing about....

Re: Question about b18a swap into 5th gen Civic (Spoon EJ)

all b series bolt into a 5th gen. you should have no problems with this swap. only thing is, you prolly want one thats obd I instead of that pre-obd stuff (i think there were some pre obd b18a's,...

Re: Honda's ZC engine?????? (Barabus)

you'll also have a tough time getting it smogged in some states (notably CA, but since you're in TX i guess it doesn't matter).
ZC engined 4th gen's have that funny ZC bump on the hood... it's...

Re: peeps driving hatches with B18C5 swaps... (Downeybear11)

actually the VX is the lightest. http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emsmile.gif
it's the high MPG one, so it'd make more sense for it to be the lightest. the CX was just the cheap-o one... it had...

Re: Do you guys get the EG5 in the states? (gamby)

my guess is whatever motor you guys have is a variation...

Re: New Si (Civic Hatch Boy)

Re: New Si (Civic Hatch Boy)

curb weight on 99-00 si's is 2612 lbs. so 2700 is not thaaat big of a jump. i agree it is heavy for a hatch, but the new civic hatch is giant. it looks like they just took the 5 door civic they have...

Re: Swap how-to (KAMiN)

go buy the helm's manual for your car... it's like 50 bucks.
since you're doing a b series into an EG, it should all work. it tells you how to take the engine out and put it in. then go to...

Re: b20 in an EG... obd I vs obd II (B18C-EJ1)

cool. i remember reading on hybrid.honda-perf.org that some of the fuel maps were a little off or something using the LS ecu and manifold, but i thought that the b20 was just a bored and sleeved b18b?
