Re: Turbo question..need help

I think you might be missing the bigger picture here. While I do believe a 15G will produce 230whp on a B16, it's a matter of efficiency, or rather a lack of. The little TD04 was chosen by GReddy for...

Re: Turbo question..need help

I'd have to agree 100%, for the sheer amount of work involved in mating a B-series manifold to such a small T25 based turbine inlet and running the associated hardware, frankly I don't know why...

Re: Turbo question..need help

I don't.

If a used TD04-15G could make 217whp @ ~11psi on a, relativity speaking, highly inefficient D16Y8, and another 226whp @ ~11psi on an arguable less efficient D16Z6, I can't see why it...

Re: Turbo question..need help

That little 15G regularly makes 200-210whp on far less volumetricley efficient D-series motors at less than 12psi, I think he'll safely be at 230whp with no more than 10-11psi on a B16.

Re: turbo b16 afr problem

Yes you can jump the SCS connector while the car is on and read the codes.

Re: turbo b16 afr problem

Sounds very sensor-based imo. Do you have a live readout you can scan while you drive? I'm betting something is skewing voltages.

Re: Boost Creep?

I mean I had no exahust, open DP just after the oil pan, WG is still open dump, but for whatever reason, the WG could not bleed enough energy to prevent loss of pressure control above ~7k rpm.

Re: Boost Creep?

Just gonna throw a couple cents into the fire here cause I was dealing with boost creep for months on end with my wife's GSR. I tried multiple wastegates, spring combinations, cam timing, tune...

1995 Acura Integra GSR turbo

Spend the last year justing fixing little issues and improving what I bought, sadly now that I've got it running good, I've gotta let it go. Here are the stats:

Re: Smoking problem with leakdown and compression #'s

Those leakdown numbers aren't bad for a motor with a few miles, perhaps the turbo is ingesting a little oil at higher pressure loads? PCV system plumbed into the intake or seperated? Have you looked...

Selling my wife's project Integra, unfortunatley we never had the time to enjoy it with all the updating and repairs made from the previous owner, so I'm ready to let it go. Here are the stats:

Re: Coolant temp control ever an issue?

Well I think you're right about the airflow issue because the more I think about it, it was after I reinstalled the bumper that I noticed temps getting into the high side. I'm gonna have to look into...

Coolant temp control ever an issue?

I've noticed after a few long stints of driivng, I'm logging temps of 220*+, seems like the CX Racing radiator the car came with my not be up to par with the car. Is there a prefered half size double...

AN adapter for rear PCV vent opening?

A while back I saw somebody was selling a nice AN adapter for the rear engine block PCV vent opening but for the life of me I can't find it, anybody know what I'm talking about and where to find it!?

Re: This is why I avoid other people's projects..

Pretty much where I am now, how did you deal with the excess belt slack? Fear of this thing jumping on me is keeping me awake..

Re: This is why I avoid other people's projects..

At maximum physical advance (distributor pinned to the firewall) the car would see approx. 10* retarded from the ignition map. Took about 5* at the cam to make the map sync with the crank.

This is why I avoid other people's projects..

I know some of you have followed my uncontrolled boost dilema on my wife's GSR, well that of course only led to the discovery of even more problems, namley the fact that no matter what I did, I...

Better than OEM knock control?

Just wondering if anybody knows of a better than factory solution for knock monitoring for your typical B-series, or is the Honda knock sensor still the way to go?

Re: Uncontrollable boost; check this manifold out..

Replacing the timing belt today, gonna see if maybe it was stretched enough to cause the timing issue but I doubt it. Have a new walbro to drop in and an AEM unit on the way. Last time I drove it,...

Re: Crome timing/map conflict??

Yea that would explain it. I just tore the T-belt off the car, going to install a new one tomorrow and re-time everything and see how it goes. Just for giggles, I tried a straight P28 map on the car...
