Re: 79 Cvcc Powered by the B-SERIES

Wow! I had came very close to getting one of those several years ago and consensus (on the net) was that the D-Series was the biggest you could go with. A b series is great!

Re: Recommend a wideband?

You can buy the off the shelf Bosch 17018 sensor to replace the AEM EUGO sensor. Same plug and has the "trimmed resistor" as well. Can find these at any major auto parts store, in stock, for about...

Re: Things NO ONE told me about installing Turbos

You don't need a dipstick either. Cause when you boost if oil comes out of your dipstick tube, you still have oil in the engine :)

Re: 2012 Corvette with B18c swap.

A 600HP LSx would be better in every way.

Not knockin the K, but the LSx is a very respectable engine in its own right, and in that application it just makes more sense.

Re: Results from my "5931" formula 409 turbo

Technical question, how does the impeller actually connect? Is the shaft splined or keyed in some way or is it pressed on?

Re: How important are IAT's? Colder=Better right?

IAT are important, because it is abstract way of saying how dense the air is. Anything that's colder means the molecules are not moving around as much. So if a gas a "cooler" it means more molecules...

Re: Am I missing something? B20 NON-Vtec Turbo.

Heres what I always wondered. Why didn't more people have turbo B20's in CRV's? That's one of my guilty pleasure desires, is to get a 1st gen manual and turbo it out.

Re: Need help tuning Turbo D16 with stock P28 and VAFC-II

Your just going to have to guess at first. Those injectors are not that big so you might start with -15% or -20% across the board and see how it goes from there. Back in the day I had, I think they...

Re: Need help tuning Turbo D16 with stock P28 and VAFC-II

Sure you can, people did it all the time a decade ago. Not to say there are not much much better solutions available now. But people did it (I did) back then when it was a much more elegant solution...

Re: Ghettocharging M26 + B20A5

Up until around 2001-2002, damn near every street driven Honda with forced induction had either an FMU or used the "S-AFC hack". It was rudimentary, but it got 200+HP out of the motors decently well....

Re: Civic Wont Stay running

Is it an OBD-I ECU though?

Which O2 isn't installed, the primary or an auxillary wideband? It needs the primary.

Re: From S2000 to NSX...still adjusting to the change

I can believe that. The car is quite polarizing. Though I think the common complaint is the power level versus the expectations of the car. Plus with everything coming with 400HP now-a-days, you...

Re: Recirc or vented catch can? gsr on 10 lbs

Running 13PSI, I had the oil dipstick pop out and spit oil every where. I went back to recirc. Though its more of a band aid to assist the size of the lines used in my catch cans (dual 3/8"). If you...

Re: If you were to Supercharge? Brand & Why?

Most of the experience in the Honda scene is with the very small MP45 or the decent MP62. The MP62 is only capable of about 220-240 with no intercooling. Maybe around 260 with normal intercooling.

Oil on a clutch make a dyno graph like this?

NOT A HONDA MOTOR, but close enough.

I upgraded the supercharger from a MP62 to a TVS1320 and have a ~13PSI pulley on it. This should take me to at least 300WHP, more likely closer to 320-330WHP....

Re: how to check a leak in the charge pipe?

What I did was buy 2 PVC end caps (3" for the intake side, 2.x" for the charge pipe) from the plumbing section of home depot. I also bought a shrader valve from a sports store (bought the cheapest...

V-Bands are great.....BUT

They are a complete pain in the ass to get on! Real easy to get off, but getting the flanges to line up just right with no real support is tedious.

I've had to install my exhaust about 4 times...
