Re: *** paint time *** blue or green?

Ohhh man. It's gonna look clean if you do an OE, model specific color. I'd do either factory white or factory... eh, yeah, white. That's it.

White will help hide the ripples and waves in the...

Re: Vehicle Dynamics and Damping by Jan Zuijdijk

I disagree. I think you can't look at it as "raising the rear more helps the front". You have to look at if from the main reason the rear raises. The rear raises as a result of a soft front end. ...

Re: Vehicle Dynamics and Damping by Jan Zuijdijk

We're talking about inside rear wheel lift. The higher it goes, the more weight is transferred to the diagonal front wheel. Are you being obtuse on purpose?

Re: EF: Unsprung Mass of Suspension

We are totally in agreement. Just don't expect a monotube shock to act just like a monotube with external reservoirs even though they graph the same on a dyno.

Re: EF: Unsprung Mass of Suspension

I think we're talking about two different things. You're talking about fluid that passes through the compression valving and I'm thinking about displaced fluid regardless of it's route through...

Re: EF: Unsprung Mass of Suspension

I don't understand what you're saying. The only thing that displaces fluid is the shaft in any shock. Right?

Re: Vehicle Dynamics and Damping by Jan Zuijdijk

Aha! Now you might be on to something. I might be mistakingly recalling where that miniscule push occurred and what you said above makes perfect sense.

Re: EF: Unsprung Mass of Suspension

They will not. Moton uses a 22mm shaft which displaces much more fluid. Also, they use very large gas chambers and little to no preload on the bump stack which makes the transition from slowspeed...

Re: Vehicle Dynamics and Damping by Jan Zuijdijk

Andy, I was running -3* in the rear. I don't think the rear was de-cambering. :) I always tried to give the rear of the car the most possible traction I could... especially on one wheel because...

Re: Vehicle Dynamics and Damping by Jan Zuijdijk

This is exactly correct except I don't think his name is Jerome. It sounds like Jerome but it's spelled differently. It went, KONI-JRZ-Moton. JRZ and Moton are the children of the concepts Jan...

Re: suspension too tight?

I don't run any braces in my 20 year old CRX. It seems to work well. Save the weight.

And I don't know what you mean when you say "tighten" but with your shocks and springs, I don't think it...

Shorter runners just mean that the manifold will flow more air at high engine speeds. It will slow the spool of a turbo motor since it won't make as much torque.

It's amazing what a piece of crap these things are.

Tuning wise, the skunk2 manifold has short fat runners which only makes power at high engine speeds. If you are running the stock cam then...
