Re: Intercooler making car run lean when cold out? (CWBETB)

You will need to richen your fuel mixture to accomodate the colder air. The same thing happened to me last winter with a 97 EX and Greddy turbo/IC. Your IAT will not adjust enough to get you the...

The Helm repair manual is in new condition and I will sell it for $50 shipped UPS ground. The Haynes manual is a good supplement to the Helm manual and I will let it go for $10.

Re: ***V-AFC Hack...now bad idle??? HELP!!*** (SlowB16)

You don't need the check valves either according to https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=137901
Also, on the dropshops web site, it says "Stock Honda MAP sensor utilized ( no check valves or missing...

Re: SOHC Turbo (B-Series Sol)

The intake on your engine intakes air from the top rather than the side like an EX is. That will be another chage you will need to plan for with any kit you buy because they all kits' charge pipes...

Re: SOHC Turbo (B-Series Sol)

The Greddy kit is perfect for an SOHC, especially if you have no plans of building it and making a ton of hp. You can still make around 205 whp with the Greddy kit at 11 psi on your stock SOHC,...

Re: Turbo SOHC!!!!read!! (mplex2000)

HELLLO! The B16 will NOT need to be built to put out 350whp. Remember MatT3T4? He did it.The key is tuning. In fact, here is a link http://www.hondalife.com/effectivecompression.htm to his breakdown...

Re: Turbo SOHC!!!!read!! (Ares81883)

Well, if you had read his post, he asks "what is more bang for the buck" which suggests that money is an issue and, unlike you, plays into his plans of making 350whp. Money always matters so don't...

Re: Turbo SOHC!!!!read!! (mplex2000)

It will cost him at least $1500-$2000 to get his SOHC to handle 350whp. You can boost your stock B16 to 350whp so how is doing a swap going to cost him more? Plus, after the swap, and if and when he...

Re: Turbo SOHC!!!!read!! (Civic420)

I guess I would just have to ask you why you are so against doing an engine swap. Yes, you could spend a wad of cash and build the D16Y8 but you could spend less money on a stock B16, turbo that, and...

Re: larger injectors with blue box instead of VAFC hack for fuel management (ill_take_one)

For 8 psi, you MIGHT need to do some fuel upgrades. You will not need to change your timing if you are using the Greddy kit and blue box which is what I am running. I boost to 7.4 psi or thereabouts...

Re: larger injectors with blue box instead of VAFC hack for fuel management (ill_take_one)

With the Greddy SOHC kit and blue box and stock fuel pump, injectors, etc. you cannot adjust anything. The blue box does not allow any adjustment. If you want to use the blue box and have some sort...

Re: What kind of tools do you use? (2K_TEG)

Re: larger injectors with blue box instead of VAFC hack for fuel management (Mike@Altered)

Not really. I want to know what will happen if I use larger injectors and ran 10 psi. I think that the blue box work similarly to the VAFC hack but I am not certain. I think the only way to know is...

Re: larger injectors with blue box instead of VAFC hack for fuel management (Mike@Altered)

If I had the VAFC, I would use it and ditch the blue box. I like the idea of using the DSM 450cc injectors, high flow fuel pump, and AFC to handle my fuel management according to the "hack" method I...

larger injectors with blue box instead of VAFC hack for fuel management

Has anyone here tried running larger injectors (440's-550's) with the Greddy SOHC turbo kit and used the Greddy FCU (blue box) to mangage your fuel? Were you able to boost higher without running lean...
