Re: Replacing Main Bearings? (filetofit)

A friend of mine did it in an Avenger. They rebuilt the whole motor, put it back in, then had to replace the main bearings again. Needless to say, we didn't want to pull the motor again. So they...

Re: Wrapped AC lines? (justagsr)

You can also use header wrap. My downpipe was touching my ac lines, so I wrapped the downpipe in header wrap. It cost about $35 for a huge roll and you can get it at most performance shops.

Re: need piston/rod help for my h23a1 (WICKEDII)

I don't think they are interchangeable. I built up my motor a while back, and I'm pretty sure every vendor I talked to said the 2 motors used different sized rods. Eagle rods are cheap, but they...

Re: oil on timing belt, headgasket not sealing properly..... (mike2016)

Damn, those are major problems. My crank seal was leaking oil all over timing belt. You could see it from underneath the car. You probably want to start with that camshaft oil seal, though. That...

Re: Still plagued by idle problem :( (diLUDEd)

I've been plagued by the same problem. I finally got sick enough of revving at every body I stop next to, so I ordered the Fast Idle valve from Honda. I'm going to start there and I'll let you know...

Re: loosening bolt with WD-40 (Chiovnidca)

Re: who makes head bolts for the h23 (Accord94DX)

ARP told me they don't have head bolts for the H23, but they do have studs for it. I chose to go with OEM.

Re: 4gen prelude race car damn now that's my dream car (Honda318dx)

One Great Britain Pound is equal to about $1.50 US. That's ballpark. So that lude would sell for about $36,000, damn.

Talk to FRSB

I've seen him on this board. He had an H22A he put forged pistons in and it did lock up. He is the only one I actually know of that toasted a motor because he didn't sleeve the block, but that was...

Re: Prelude sleeving question (BlueShadow)

I believe the Honda manual has specs for honing the cylinder walls. You have to use a micrometer to measure the specs, I'm sure, but I believe you can hone the walls if you use Honda Pistons. I...

I need a power steering gear box.

My rack and pinion is shot. Leaking all over. Need a new one. A new tie rod also. If anyone could tell me where to find one, Id appreciate it. Dealer wants way too much. ...

Re: My untuned hondata/engine break in situation.. Your opinion please.. (Xerxes)

Man, I wouldn't even think about boosting right after a rebuild. My boy trashed his brand new Avenger motor cause he boosted as soon as he got it running. 5 Grand down the drain. I suggest you...

Re: erratic idle (JG Luder)

This is a huge problem with our cars. I have seen this post so many times, I've almost got it memorized. Good advice too. Vacuum lines first, then the fast idle valve, then the throttle position...

Re: Whats stock Fuel Pressure? (laughin2.2)

I don't know about your model or year, but the 92 H23A stock fuel pressure is 38-42 psi.

Re: White smoke...bad.... (X2BOARD)

I would pull the head and check out the gasket before it goes when your at 6k. It could be leaking just a few drops into your cylinders for now, but it will get worse.

Use the $50 ashtray method

Make sure it's not the shop owner or manager doing the test first of all. When you get out tell the kid doing it that there's something for him in the ashtray. Hint that you really need to pass...

Re: AEM CAI was a bitch to put on!!! (BlueShadow)

You think that was hard, try wedging a bigass turbo between your manifold and your radiator fans. All the extra stuff has to come out. Then again, it's always easier and usually necessary to take...

Re: 92-96 prelude help! car cranks but won't start (Xav H22EG8)

I had a problem with a cold solder joint on the fuel injection relay. Dealer found it. Said it happens to Accords alot, but they never saw it on a Prelude. Pull a spark plug to see if your getting...

Re: stock compression ratio (laughin2.2)

Obviously, you have to locate your leak.

If it's as loud as you say, you should be able to feel an exhaust leak with your hand if it's coming out of your wastegate. Double-check all your vacuum lines. Could be one of them popped off. ...
