Yeah it's weird; that seat fabric would be right at home in a base model Toyota Tercel. From the late 80's.

That shouldn't be a problem at all. It's just the big boulders and 45 degree inclines we should probably avoid. The sand MAY be kind of hard on your CV boots...I'm only speculating though.

That idea has potential. What do I need to do to this LS/VTEC conversion; from scratch with a stock 1998 CRV? Assume I know nothing about working on cars(which isn't far from the truth).

It such a trendy thing to use the motor from a CRV...what about the other way around? Has anyone done this yet? I would think there might be a torque loss, though.

I've called several dealers and they are giving me conflicting information.

4 dealers have said the LX is prewired for it and all I need are a couple remotes($300 total...

JDM: How much of the exhaust system did you replace(header/catback/??)? What company made it, how much did it cost, are you happy with it, is it louder?

Have you found a way to "store" the loose...

How are the base wheels on the G1 CRV's painted? I'm guessing they are painted steel wheels. The paint feels very tough and isn't very smooth. Are you sure this isn't powdercoat?
