Depending upon how significant the groove is, I would suggest polishing out any sharp edges as best you can to eliminate the potential for a hot spot to form in that location.

You can certainly pull the plugs just to be safe, but it's more than likely just moisture in the ignition system. Dry everything out and you should be fine.

If you drained the entire rack when you removed the PS, you'll want to add a relatively small amount of fluid to keep the seals and internals lubricated.
